The new IP obsessed people are some of the most annoying gamers out there. Even more when it's in the AAA space and a new IP just means another 1st or 3rd person shooter with the same variation of RPG or stealth elements we've seen a thousand times over.
Press forward for feels gameplay, unreplayable due to half (maybe even more) of the game being things that aren't skill checking you in anyway shape or form (or don't scale at all, like their "puzzles").
UC2 has a much, much, much better balance of combat scenarios and fluff (and the combat scenarios are generally more interesting, and usually have the option for stealth if your into skipping scenarios via stealth). Also UC2 has the fast-forward mode which is handy as well.

No. As far as I'm concerned, Uncharted was the best in the series, followed closely by 3.
Then comes Golden Abyss with Uncharted 2 bringing up the rear.
I'll be curious to see what direction this new game goes in... it could be the first major exclusive I'll actually give a damn about.
Superior boss fights? Less emphasis on repetitive gunplay? Greater context sensitivity? Dynamic brawls?
No problem! Play THE LAST OF US.I'm kind of over the series now.
New IP please?

What?!?!? No way. Your opinion sucks.
The story and progression of the levels flow better in the first game. It's my favorite game in the series even though the combat arenas, level design, and gameplay are better in 2 and 3. I went into why I think that on page 11 but I see other people have similar thoughts only a few pages back.
Nobody specified that a new IP should be a shooter.
I just want bigger, more open environments.
And am I the only one that much prefered Uncharted: Drake's Fortune to 2 & 3? Yeah probably.
With that attitude you don't deserve a new IP
Thanks! Those were the things that I immediately noticed when the I first watched the teaser video.
I think it's nice to have this kind of discussion. Even if it's in the middle of 400 people quoting SniperHunter to say how wrong he is ._.

Too bad because that's what you're going to get whether you wanted it or not. That's why whining about new IPs all of the time is annoying.
Just doesn't seem like something they would do, to reveal it now and show it off again next month.I'm going to disagree with Shinobi and say it will be at the VGAs/VGXs.
Naughty Dog is up for awards for TLOU so it's the best time to show it off.
Sony announced KZ3 and a few other big games before the E3 they were shown off at then used E3 to show of gameplay and full trailers.Just doesn't seem like something they would do, to reveal it now and show it off again next month.
Makes sense to just reveal it all at once at the VGX in my opinion.

I want to play the Uncharted 3 you did; it sure wasn't the one I got.
And your whining about every single game in every single thread is of course so much less annoying.
When people wish for a new IP it's because they recognise the talent of the developer but would rather see it applied to creating something new and different rather than just another sequel. Especially if there's already been several entries in said series and it doesn't seem like there's much room to alter or build upon the formula.

I disagree that Uncharted ever did anything to "advance the medium." It just did everything, literally everything, extremely well.
Maybe if it's about Francis Drake, they could do Atlantis some point in the series. Maybe Francis has already been there. I just wanna see gameplay.
Then I don't know what game you played, but it couldn't have been Uncharted 3.
Allow me to point out what you have clearly missed:
Drake and the others would swat flies out of their face as well at hold up their hands to block bright light. Turning involved more natural movements as opposed to the common unnatural character model flip that most games do. Drake would reach out and touch walls (albeit, a little too often). When in brawls or chaces, Drake would use items in the environment (Such as mugs, pans, fish, windows, tables and refrigerator doors) to his advantage if he neared them.
Boss fights were more realistic dynamic brawls as opposed to arena shoot-outs with bullet sponges such as the final battle of Uncharted 2.
And don't even get me started on the desert.
To all of the new IP people, Uncharted has had three games so far. Jak and Crash had four from ND.
Like another 3rd person linear cinematic game? That's what you would get from Naughty Dog after all.

haha I know what you mean. Typical uncharted thread really. Saw this image on wiki
Shu said every team is working on new IP or most of them. Something like that.Yes! More sequels please! We don't have enough of that on the PS4

So the shooter elements will be reduced? If it's set in the 16th century I don't fancy too much Flintlock pistol action.
Melee/Sword focused gameplay.I would die of laughter if the new Uncharted was about Francis. How are they going to push 3rd person cover-based shooter there? It'd be the anti-Uncharted 2. :lol
