All nd game debut have had teaser trailer before the actual trailer. We got teaser for uncharted2 and 3 before vga, we also got one for the last of us although they never show who's the developer.Just doesn't seem like something they would do, to reveal it now and show it off again next month.
Makes sense to just reveal it all at once at the VGX in my opinion.
haha I know what you mean. Typical uncharted thread really. Saw this image on wiki
Shu said every team is working on new IP or most of them. Something like that.
Be patient.
Sorry, didn't recall those, but it sounds like it could definitely happen then. All nd game debut have had teaser trailer before the actual trailer. We got teaser for uncharted2 and 3 before vga, we also got one for the last of us although they never show who's the developer.
Uncharted 4 at vgx is basically confirmed at this point imo.
Strange coming from an Uncharted hater like you.The new IP obsessed people are some of the most annoying gamers out there. Even more when it's in the AAA space and a new IP just means another 1st or 3rd person shooter with the same variation of RPG or stealth elements we've seen a thousand times over.
The desert where you were on rails and pushed the left stick forward ultimately reducing the interactivity of that sequence to its lowest possible level?
Yeah so good.
Also the contextual fight stuff was good visually, but mechanically you were doing the same shit you were doing in every other game, mashing square and occasionally pressing triangle.
And if you call that a boss fight well we better just stop right now.
I would be down for some of that. Dem sword animations are going to be crazy.

I actually like the series, 7/10 series imo
I'd like them to increase the exploration, perhaps have a gang of scurvy ridden sailors to control. I don't want to spend hours loading gunpowder.
You know, one of GopherD cryptic post mention something about 'new genre' now that's kind of a bold statement since I think all kind of genres are already explored and what we get nowadays are basically mish mash of conventional genres.I would die of laughter if the new Uncharted was about Francis. How are they going to push 3rd person cover-based shooter there? It'd be the anti-Uncharted 2. :lol
I don't know if that is supposed to be the route in the trailer, but unless I am horridly geographically illiterate, it's not accurate.
The route in the trailer went around Madagascar to Ile Sante-Marie and then onward. I expect to be going after Libertatia.
Drake and the others would swat flies out of their face as well at hold up their hands to block bright light. Turning involved more natural movements as opposed to the common unnatural character model flip that most games do. Drake would reach out and touch walls (albeit, a little too often). When in brawls or chaces, Drake would use items in the environment (Such as mugs, pans, fish, windows, tables and refrigerator doors) to his advantage if he neared them.
Boss fights were more realistic dynamic brawls as opposed to arena shoot-outs with bullet sponges such as the final battle of Uncharted 2.
Yup well saidThat's where I'd rank it too if we were just talking about the non gameplay stuff, pretty enjoyable stuff there. I just wish they'd bother making a decent game. I don't think anyone would complain if they drastically changed the formula for the better, or hell just made a competent shooting system with some platforming that requires actual jumping and climbing.

Sure that's the visuals, but mashing punch and pressing the counter button every so often isn't something I consider remotely dynamic. It was bad in Uncharted 2 as well to be fair (Uncharted 1 had by far the best melee system by keeping it simple, thankfully they copied that The Last of Us while adding Uncharted 3's dynamic animations).
Uncharted 2's final boss is far better than 3's as it actually builds on the characterisation of the villain throughout the game (the best strategy against a fearless monster of man is to RUN THE FUCK AWAY). Uncharted 3 had a clever trickster villain go full idiot and get into a straight brawl/knife fight with Drake, which made no sense.
Sounds like AC4 might just be right for you.
Yup well said
Couldn't get into that series at all.
I'm sure Uncharted is going to be good, I'm a tad apprehensive at the same time if the regular cast have gone.
They needed something exciting for the event. If it wasn't for Uncharted PS4, the event overall would have been completely boring. The Uncharted reveal at least added some value to this event.Just doesn't seem like something they would do, to reveal it now and show it off again next month.

You are out not to make any friends in here today, are you?
I don't understand the love for Uncharted 2 and the hate for 3.
3 was shorter for sure, but they are largely the same. The shooting before the patch in 3 was pretty awful and I think that's where a lot of hate came from. I picked up the game right before the patch came out, which was weeks after launch.
I'm assuming a lot of complaints about 3 came from the bad taste left from launch and not a lot of people went back to play it after the patch. Because aside from that, 3 had some amazing locations that were better than 2 (not by a lot). 3, I will agree though, was more of an experience to watch and take in rather than play compared to 2.
Bottom line is that I find it odd that people like 2 and hate on 3, because the two games are extremely similar and each one does things better than the other.
My UC4 wishlist:
I need a crafting system in this game along with dolphins but no sharks.
A vivid world with 100 different species of wildlife.
Upgradeable weapons
We've seen boats capsize but what about skyscrapers?
New Game plus mode
I want the water to look like the end of the ship level in UC3 for the entire game.
The Naughty Gods shouldn't rush development time. I need this released on November 15, 2015.
I disagree because it was appropraite for Drake and Talbot to go one and one. It was Drake pretty much fighting himself. He was batteling his anthesis, his foil, in away his own dark counterpart.
There's nothing wrong with Derrick said though.
Talbot was posed as a dark counterpart to Drake in his handling of situations as well as his personality; Drake charges into his problems head on, whereas Talbot uses indirect methods like trickery and deception to deal with his enemies. To have him go against Drake with nothing but a knife up his sleeve actually goes against him being the kind of dark mirror he's presented as.

I think the person narrating is the enemy in this uncharted. Some thing tells me they aren't just going to remove drake out of the equation and reboot the series.

Regarding wishlist, I always want uncharted shooting to have location specific damage, shoot leg to drop enemy or hand to make them drop weapon, but I was wondering if the Teen rating will prevent them from doing that, anyone know? In uncharted 1, they had to go all the trouble to disable their ragdoll physisc system for corpses so when you shot corpses they arent moving at all. But you can still move over them and dragging the corpses a little bit. That was rather weird. My UC4 wishlist:

It look a lot like Vasco da Gama Route to India, am I right? If so might know what we are going after in this game...
He was out of tricks, all he had left was the straight-forward approach. All Lazarovic was was yet another bullet sponge like so many uninspired bosses before him. There was something genuinely satisfying about the end of the Talbot fight, while Lazarovic just felt like a huge grind. It was a difference of "Thank God that crap is finally over, vs. It's over. The day is won."

The latter is what I felt when I beat Lazarovic, my feeling at beating Talbot was more like "that's it?". I beat Lazarovic by realising that the optimal tactic actually was the closest thing to the sane reaction to being trapped in a room with a near-bulletproof psychopath. I beat Talbot because I A'ed to awesome enough times.

Well my question is are they allowed to do that and keep the T rating? Seems like something that people can see as too violent or toying with your enemies. Like I said, even in uncharted 1, they cant have corpses to move or react when shot.Keep it T but yeah, the bolded would be nice.
Well, if you wanna go that route then Cod and Halo are just holding down the right trigger, Zelda is simply mashing the "B" button, and Mario is nothing but holding forward and pressing "A".
Yea, you primarily walked forward in the desert, which was great so as not to distract you from the true meaning of the desert. Chapter 18 was filled with symbolism, right down to the fact that it was interactive. A cutscene would not have had the same impact, nor would an open Journey-esque desert. The desert sequence was masterfully built. But I digress, when some people look at a work of art, all they see is a boring picture.
And you can't seriously be saying that Lazarovic was a better fight than Talbot. "Run away, shoot, run away, shoot, run away shoot."
