First, this is not a port begging thread, more a question on if this would be a good business decision.
Given the response to Persona 5, the spotlight has never been better for the series or the company, but the next one probably isn't coming out for a while. Persona 4 Golden is considered the best version of the game that really brought some mainstream appeal to the series.
In the west the Vita is largely dead and we've had a few Vita to PS4 ports up to now. I guess the argument against would be possible lack of demand, assuming that most people who wanted to play it bought a Vita to do so, but I doubt that. I don't know the expense involved in porting the game, or any additional licensing costs for VA performances or whatnot. At the very least, it seems like a decent stopgap release. Or maybe they don't really want to devote any resources to that, and want to move ahead.
