i don't mind a much smaller weapon count than what was in Dark Souls 2 or even the first Dark Souls, i felt there was a bit too much to be honest. didn't have the time to master them all
Demon's Souls did it right IMO, it had just enough different weapons and spells that you could really master them all. and with a smaller weapon count you could come up with strategies against pretty much any weapon you saw other players using, because they were all familiar.. but when i play PvP in Dark Souls 2 i never recognize any of the weapons (not to mention all the weird spells) anyone is using so i lose by default.
