So frame rises over 60fps are bad now?
Most console games that are locked to a consistent 60 FPS always tend to run above 60 FPS. It gets locked to prevent tearing and overheating tho. For example, Bioshock runs above 30 without Vsync. They have to account for situations where the screen might get too busy, like a fighting game with lots of effects going on the screen at the same time.

lol, what a twist

No kidding too much power. I guess it is the PS4 that is "too future"

Pushing better than 60fps. Although it is a problem, it is a good problem to have. Use some V Sync or dial back to a locked 60fps, and hopefully the problem is fixed. At least the framerate isn't dropping considerably.

DAT effects parity leaving too much GPU muscle unused! Barring AA and resolution it looks like developers are trying to get effects parity. So naturally you end up with more frame rates on the PS4.

IW somehow messed up PS4's power advantage. Come on sons.

PS4 really is the better version but this issue is ridiculous. IW need to patch that up.

Does this mean that, what people were perceiving as frames dropping below 60 was in fact frames dropping from above 60 to 60 which gave a noticeable different feel to the responsiveness of the game and then they just assumed it was dropping below 60?

So frame rises over 60fps are bad now?

It's only bad because they're not locking the framerate to a multiple of the refresh rate.

The PS4 can only output 60fps max, as it's locked to 60hz. So if it's rendering at over 60fps you're going to get judder. Hence IW just needs to lock the framerate to 60fps and everything will be fine.

The good news is that PS4 has plenty of muscle. It bodes well for the future :)
