The online results are based on time rather than position (to negate lag issues) - so you might've finished ahead of your mate but you took the same time to get there as he must've started fractionally later. 1 of our team had a dodgy net connection for a while and often got delayed starts only to shoot up the board at the end results. It's a good feature but it can be frustrating!

Ahh okay, that makes sense. Crazy how it was the exact same time, we had a good chuckle out of it. He just pulled a Casino Royal in the next race as I drove under him barrel rolling in an unintentionally perfectly timed pass under. This game is too good.

Still trying to figure out if I can do slow motion play back or something. Or playback from a free camera?

If you save your replay you can view it in the game with access to the trackside and gameplay cameras - rotating the right stick allows you to move the view to suit. It doesn't do slow-motion but if you record it using the share function and import it into sharefactory then that will allow you to slow the clip down (timewarp I think it calls it).

Tnx. I really think the trick to get the speed on the last trap is to keep the banking of the bike to a minimum as it seems to slow down the acceleration. It wasn't a one off either as i could consistently score above 20k points. Well...on to the next challenge. I find cars more difficult to control than the bikes. The bikes just 'flow' so nicely.

The new challenge looks okay but Marussia clearly doesn't like taking them slow hairpins. ;p

Yeah you can see I lose a lot of time getting the power down - I looked on last night and I was down in 6th out of 7 players :-(

Had a bit of a chat with Ainsz & AnythingBut the other night about doing another one of those live rally events only this time we could use the private lobby system, select the P2P tracks and set everyone to ghost mode - so you'll be able to see in real time how your doing against the other racers but you'll essentially be racing against the clock. We could do 6 events, 1 track per country and the person with the lowest time at the end wins. This is back to my original idea where you get 1 shot at each track and its how well you balance the risk and reward, just like real rallying.

We would be limited to only 12 players for the event so it would be first come first served and we also run the risk of the connection issues I've seen every time I've been in a private lobby (usually people unable to join) - all going well I'd like to do a test run tomorrow night at 9pm UK time, anyone up for this?

Auctopus & AnythingBut - nice one :) We just had a bit of a trial run with Skillet, Sirenty and Redcamao - all seemed to go well but I need to be quick on the screenshot button to catch the times. Cocking up a corner and seeing everyone go past and being unable to draught back up to them makes me realise howuch I depend on it when racing online!

Yeah, that was a good bit of fun. Should've tried multiplayer well before now..

Though when collisions were turned on, I started freaking out. Everyone was flickering around me, and I was trying real hard not to hit anyone, so I kept checking up because I couldn't tell if I was about to hit someone or if it was actually out of date location data. In Sinclair pass, I don't know how I got in front. Everyone in front of me disappeared and then as I went past where they last were, I heard a crash noise. Hope I didn't do something.

Also ran up the rear of Skillet twice in the last one because I wasn't expecting him to brake like he did. Tell him it wasn't intentional.

I cannot brake on the bikes. It's frustrating. Seems like I have to brake a lot earlier to hold my line than cpu racers. Is there a trick? Do you pull back so the riders body creates drag? Idk, that doesn't seem to work for me.

You were lagging badly, on my screen you'd constantly be lurching off the track and into walls etc only to reappear back where you should be - there were a couple of occasions when you did clatter skillet but I did tell him it'd be down to the lag issues.

It's weird but when your car is jumping around like that you can hit stuff then warp back to your proper position - I've been following skillet before when he's disappeared only to appear behind me and shove me into a wall before jumping back ahead again!

No collisions on tomorrow anyway, and yeah multiplayer is fantastic!

Does anyone have a club that's actually active? My club is in the top 100, but I never interact with them and no one ever does club challenges anymore. Wondering if there is any point besides accessing club cars. Thinking of jumping ship if other people actually do club stuff.

Yeah, that's what everyone else looked like to me. Bad connection from my end I guess. Hopefully it's better next time.

It took a bit of searching, but setting collisions to off does it - turn drafting off too for a time trial / rally mode.

This is the last lap of a 4 lap race, I've blown my lead and been passed by Ainsz (white Nismo) and AnythingBut (red Nismo).

The new model is much better looking than FF, but I'm still not a big fan. I would've preferred if Ferrari would prepare something like the modern 575M. Anyway I wouldn't mind having it in DC, because FF is one of the better cars in its class.

It is the only Ferrari I would choose in dark grey or black. I was never a fan from the FF, until I saw one on the road.
Impressive, but for the same money you can buy lots of great cars.
FF= 266k euro VS 488 Spider=234k euro (32k to buy a nice 4 door car)

Tomorrow we're going to be revealing plenty of news on the Feb update, but I'm here right now to ask for your assistance!

We're looking to resolve a number of key exploits in DRIFT MODE and we believe we've fixed most of them for a future update. However we want to make sure we caught all of the edge cases.

So if you have any examples of exploits/cheats that are known to you, then it'd be great if you could share them - ideally with videos so we can see it in action. Just so that we're sure we've caught them all :) Thanks.

Oh man I love this game.

I haven't looked into that Autobots club yet but I still intend to.

I'm finally getting decent. I was finally able to nail the 3rd star on all the Hot Hatch events (Main tour). I am working through semi pro and when I get frustrated I go back and get 2nd and 3rd stars I missed in previous parts of the tour. It would probably be a little easier with the perspective gained by one of the follow cameras, but COCKPIT VIEW FOR LIFE. I guess I can accept bumper cam too, but if you guys are using any others you are missing out. Cockpit cam gives you the best suspension of disbelief and its so visceral and fast and you have to be "all in" mentally. I fucking love it. LOVE IT.

I bought the Season Pass. The trophies taunt me (I'm part of the problem). If you follow the link for the season pass from Drive Club itself, it tells you its 25 bucks, but if you search for it on the PSN store its 12. 12 was a bargain I couldn't pass up.

I haven't bought bikes, I don't feel like I need it yet I still have so much cars content. Hopefully it will go on sale at one point and I'll nab it.

That is good news!! New car is announced and Driveclub is introducing it before the public get to drive it in real life! Now that's what I call proper video game after sales support!! Plus, I think it looks quite stunning actually. :))

Thanks to everyone who made it, just Bouniter struggled to get in but other than me forgetting to screenshot Vaga's win it all went pretty smoothly.

Well done Auctopus, another live rally win. AnythingBut, Vaga and Skillet put up a good fight (Skillet led after 4 events) but both Vaga and Skillet had bad runs on the Kyle which allowed AnythingBut to claim second.

Have you got the one where if you combine a drift segment, with a follow up high speed segment, with yet another follow up drift segment, all in a single drift, the second drift segment for some weird reason, gives exponentially more points than a regular drift ordinarily does around the same corner.

Ended up at badminton last night, spoke with my friend who is an osteopath too, confirmed that I've pulled a calf muscle and that's what is tightening my achilles making it agony to walk. Ah well, more game time I guess, plus off next week from work with my little girl for half term.
