In the end it doesn't matter if release dates were already marketed. As I said before Uncharted 4 had 3 (!) delays with concrete release dates. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, too. Basically every delayed game once had a known, marketed release date. That alone is not a guarantee that something won't be delayed. If the reputation and brand is on the line, especially in the case of FFXV, a delay could be possible and I feel there could really be one. In the end people always forget about the delays if the game is out and good, see Uncharted 4 - I mean, who even remembers or talks about its delays anymore? Mark my words.

However you could just release it anyway, hope the strengths of the game are big enough to make most gamers overlook the technical flaws or bugs on release and iron it out over time with several patches, like The Witcher 3.

I'd have to tweak some lines to scan better, but yeah, it should obviously be the default song in the regalia.

I dunno, maintaining balance? Dunk was so savage even Noctis nearly lost balance

I guess it just looks cool? Noctis has this really distinctive scrawny-kid mannerism with perpetually bent elbows and it permeates all his animations.

Yeah, there's a lot awkward movements I assume Noctis just does because he's well, not as cool as he tries to be. I like how that's carried over from the beginning of this project.

I vaguely recall seeing a demo of a summon, and it was basically a huge playable humanoid that obliterated the enemies. Might be making it up entirely, or confusing it for an ancient build, since I'm not sure we've had any recent details of summons have we?

I dunno about playable but there's a low-hanging fruit jab to be made somewhere that if summon takes 1 button, then it's equivalent to holding 1 button to attack lolololololol

That first one is what I remember, how long ago did they show it?

Interested to see the limitations of the summons when you're actually fighting in enclosed areas as opposed to being teleported to an arena.

edit: reading about it on a wikia, seems they're ranked by size and you can only summon the ones that are appropriate to the size of the area you're in. Sounds like a good compromise.

It was from Episode Duscae, so March 2015.

It does seem that both Ramuh and Titan have a second animation (Titan throws a rock, Ramuh throws his staff like a javelin) which might be used when the summons can't physically get to where the party is at. Assuming they aren't for some special cutscene or something

IDK about indoors though, lol

Hopefully it's just using all of your MP To summon and the MP will not recover automatically but an ether will be needed to recover it, forgot if the MP recovers automatically or an ether is needed. Once full again the summon is locked behind a timer or something along like that. Hopefully they have something good in the final game.

I'm okay with getting no experience, but finishing a though battle swiftly in style by using summons like how it was in Episode Duscae. I'm looking at it more like a fancy thing and not a necessary battle feature.

It's beyond me while Square doesn't show these cool summons off at more events and press conferences.

Even if FFXV disappoints me in the end, the existence of the game will still be a good thing because it gave us this.

Summons are one of the few things that have got mostly praise when shown. Maybe they're keeping their powder dry. I hope they don't spoil all of them pre-release....

Should someone records those lines in the future in a rap song,
all excited would I become,
if something like that ends up in a mod,
For the glorious fans that waited so long,
To be part of the Regalia's radio oh my god,
In the land of XV-Gaf all everlasting PC version.

Summons are fine, as they will only hurt enemies(?), but given that magic can hurt friendly targets, using magic in closed, tight spaces like that seems like one is asking for a death wish or something, unless the magic is modified to have healing effect instead. o_o

Funny you should mention that...

(You can modify magic to have healing effects, though we've only seen that apply to the user/Noctis so far. I'm sure there will be customisations that let you heal the whole party)
