He knows he cant fuck with empire or the wrath of a million nerds will be upon him.

This is the same Lucas that inserted Jar Jar into the finale of ROTJ.

Lucas hates his own fandom now.

It's not Jar Jar, probably some random Gungan.
Jar Jar was likely on Coruscant.

Empire is still perfect, I see. Seriously, it's amazing that that thing is still golden.
Some people think the new dialogue in the Vader/Emperor scene is a bit unnecessary and alters Vader's story arc a bit. (I don't think many people prefer the original face of the Emperor though...)

Keep telling yourself that, man, keep telling yourself that Lucas wouldn't do such a thing.

Reminder he knew fans hated Jar Jar after episode one when he was writing Episode 2. So he wrote Jar Jar to literally help the Emperor rise to power.

irregardless of what anyone says. this is the best line in all of the trilogy.

I hope George Lucas replaces the cantina song from A New Hope with some Dancehall Reggae and inserts Jar Jar Binks into the scene.

Would love to see Alec Guiness dagger somebody, Lucas can do it with his technology.

What bugs me is that Lucas won't add the things fans REALLY want, like more lightsaber fights.

I mean, they have unfilmed stuff. Look at:

Lucas had no fights in the films. They've become dances with no weight or emotion.

God no, let's just ask him to be a better director/writer instead.

We all wanted an epic final fight and he gave us the most stupid and boring saber fight in ROTS. Long and soulless.

edit: Beaten

From my point of view, the Jedi are evil.

Phil Tippet is a really cool guy. I'm on your side, Star Wars fans, but the only way you can fight this is NOT to buy Star Wars shit every second day - which I severely doubt most hardcore fans in this thread have the capacity to do.

EDIT: Also, fans need to stop making obvious, terrible and easy Star Wars jokes. Example, taking an ordinary thing and inserting a picture of a tie fighter into it does not make it art or funny or interesting.

You people have to essentially stop making it a facet of your lives.

I hate this line SO FUCKING MUCH ....yet it completely says everything T__T

Still on the fence if i'm buying this set right away or waiting for a big discount sale.
I mean, are the docs essentially the same ones ala Empire of Dreams?

But this isn't the My Little Pony thread.

Freaking this. Even worse that people try to justify this style of fighting even if they hate the prequels.

(This .gif isn't even the worst Lightsaber fight in the prequels, that belongs to Yoda).

Irregardless isn't a word, you meant regardless.

Pet peeve.

He may be more hesitant to fuck with Empire since that was Irvan Kershner's film, and he is well aware of Star Wars fans' reverence for him. Sure Lucas produced it, but the fact that he didn't direct it may actually be what's preventing him from changing anything significant since he'd essentially be screwing with another director's work.

*Edit: outside of the dialogue alterations for "continuity's sake" between Vader and Palpatine.

Yeah it was never in the original version, I always presumed because Lucas recognized that the scene was redundant in light of the Greedo scene preceding it. But I guess he decided it was worth putting back in just because it was an excuse for a new CG gimmick, retconning Jabba into the old footage. Classic case of gimmickry trumping what actually makes sense for the film.
It also screws with the pacing, interrupting the steadily mounting tension as they try to escape Mos Eisley.

I was just happy with how smooth they got Han walking around the CG Jabba to be.

It was perfect.

That scream is so familiar...what is it from?

It's driving me nuts trying to remember...
ahhhh real monsters edit: wait no that was the other one

this scream is from that porn video clip where the black guy screams like a madman

Finally got around to watching Adywan's 'Revisited' cut of ANH.

Very impressive. I'm still not sold on the use of the Imperial March as it seems out of place, but the re-cut battle of Yavin was great. Now trying to track down the 'Despecialized' version.

Also, dug out my VHS box sets just to look at them. To my surprise, in the Special Widescreen Collector's Edition box (the one with the hologram cover), the documentary tape has been opened and watched but the 3 films are still sealed. So they've NEVER BEEN PLAYED.

I guess they were on cable so often when that set came out that it pacified me until the THX Widescreen box came out, because those tapes were opened.

Crazy.

Strange thing is, as people around me kept telling me I was wrong for using regardless, I decided to try out 'irregardless' ( and was surprised spell-check recognised it.)- and thought I was in the wrong the whole time.

And now I found out I was right all along!
