no shit
how long are we going to have to hear these excuses from nintendo
I wouldn't put Nintendo and agile in the same sentence. I wonder what aproach do they use anyways..
I suspect it's worse than that. They probably aren't open to using 3rd party toolchains, so they are literally reinventing the wheel in software. I think this is why western developers flourished with Xbox 360...they knew how to develop code from PC development experience.
Sony completely learned their lesson here. They went with PC hardware, standard architecture. Should be crazy straightforward to develop for.
Does the Wii U have much good news these days?
At least Nintendo uses the excuse to explain delays, not cut features.
Please allow me to explain...
Yup. I don't mind waiting a few years to buy a Wii U.
WATERFALLLLL
Multi leveled waterfalls. Each level is when Miyamoto flips developers desks and says start over.

Welcome to 2006, Nintendo.
Oh my fucking god. Reminds me of ff13s "hd cities are hard" welcome to 06 Nintendo.
Pikmin 3 is about to release.Does the Wii U have much good news these days?

Skyward Sword was almost 2 years ago and that was pretty much the last thing that came out on the Wii. What were doing since then?
They just operate in such a bubble that it's frustrating for us outside of it. How did they not anticipate this well in advance? It's like they don't even pay attention to things going on outside the bubble.

Good thing you made a bucket load of money sitting this effect out last gen so you could hire more developers, and left everyone on Wii out to dry for the last few years while you were getting a head start on Wii U projects.
Right?
]They did nothing during the Wii era[/b] to get ready to shift to a more demanding way of making games that is standard today unless you're an indie. They understimated how hard it was to make HD games? they didn't saw how the other japanese companies struggled to get into that or something?
They really need that extra headquarters building finished and operative if they want to keep a steady flow of games, wich they are going to need if third party support continues to decrease.
Übermatik;68326261 said::lol at all the comments saying welcome to 2006. Nintendo have been hiring a fuck ton of people leading up to Wii U development, and built a huge new R&D centre. I think they realised this beforehand, Miyamoto's just highlighting how they're not used to it and took time to adapt.
I think this what we really should be focusing on, what's this Web Framework? However, we are almost out of this phase, and we are also trying to create something unique utilizing an easier development approach called Nintendo Web Framework.

Nintendo had their own version of that FF13 bullshit.
Remember the whole "rendering Peach was too difficult for NSMB, so we had to use two identical Toads" fiasco?
Nintendo Web Framework.

We've known about it since GDC:
Nope, they were too busy cranking out games on the 3DS to ensure its victory and forgot to dedicate enough resources to Wii-U games. Hell, I bet even that new 3D Mario game was originally a 3DS title.
