I do. There's also casts of it up on www.tribescast.com. If you were looking to watch one, zfz vs. Tao is regarded as the best match so far.Do you record your Tribe matches?

Finally downloading the 12.1 drivers for my 7970's.
I imagine that these drivers will make a big difference.
are the even supported by the 7970? the release notes only mention the 6900 and down
6 core CPU vs 4 core. But yes, it's a fast card.Having a good look at the table, I'm REALLY surprised that dual 7970s beat the pants off a dual 6990 rig in basically the same system. AMD seem to have done themselves a bit of alright with that GPU.
Yeah, but CPU doesn't count for that much (relatively), does it? Maybe a few hundred points, possibly up to 1000? .

I have plenty of an idea, I just hadn't clicked through and looking at the links (each time I'd been on here, save for when I was posting, I was at work). It was hard to judge just from the combined numbers what percentage was CPU and what was GPU.Not even close....you must not understand how 3DMark works.
The graphics cards scored much lower on the 7970 rig......the six core CPU is what got the overall score so high.
The dual 7970 scored 16800
The dual 6990 scored 20800
The difference between the 3930 and 2600 was what really set the score beyond.
The 3930k scored 14000
The 2600k scored 10000
And it made/makes a huge difference during the combined test what your CPU scores.
If you want to see pure graphic power look at the FPS during the graphics tests....the dual 6990 had a field day, never averaged below 60fps.
P.S
Why was the title changed
I liked it being |OT2| thread2 just looks weird.
OT are only for Official Topics. It's why the PC Thread is not OT1 or OT2 anymoreP.S

580s -> 570s?
Pawn those off and get ready for Fermi
If both A) I do not have a match tomorrow, and B) Wife doesn't say anything about going out, then I will update tomorrow evening. If either one of those becomes true, first thing after Saturday morning coffee.Got a new PC.

This thing will never be updated again, will it? LOL. Good idea...but a lot of hard work, I imagine.

Well, if I don't update it, then I'll be #1 on AMD Single Card forever.
Hehe. Look above - I have a 7970 rig, as well. I sold my two 580s to get that 7970. This is a 2nd gaming box that I scored at a pretty good price. Going to sell the 570s when Fermi drops...believe me! 680 SLI or bust!
I should have said "new" PC...as it was a used purchase! Ha.
Can I have oneBring it. I guess I'll have to go tri 680s in light of this new competition.
Can I have one
What's the highest feasible score one can get in 3DMark? Has anyone gotten it? Is there a list of top scores all-time?
There ya go, man. That's the spirit. hehe.
I'm crazy. Just bought an ASUS DirectCUII 7970. My dream card right now...didn't think NewEgg would get them back in stock! May as well go for it now. Since these 570s are only going to go into rapid decline as Fermi drops. At least the 7970 will have solid resale when it's time for me to go 680 SLI on this rig.

EDIT: holy shit! got the last one!!!
Don't mean to rain on your parade, but this issue probably exists for the 7970s as well.

Really thinking about selling my 2.56 GB GTX 570 before the value drops on it. I figure I could get $300 for it, especially considering it's a monstrous overclocker (hits 960/2300 @ 1.1v... stock 570 is 732/1900) and it's got 2.56 GB of RAM. I don't want Kepler to come out and have it only be worth $200.

Ha, no...but that's a good idea. I have another rig with a 7970 that I'm keeping as-is. But I need to dump my MSI Twin Frozr III GTX 570 1.25GB cards...$200 ea. - want one??

In honor of Sk3tch's ridiculousness, and Scogoth's excellent OC run, I have updated the ladders.
Fuckers knocked my second rig out of the top 25, and took #1 AMD Single away from me. I guess time for my 7970 waterblock has arrived.
