You are mitigating American culture. I am of European ancestry, but I do not view myself as European. I am American. I grew up in America, doing American things. By boiling biebs and the lady down to their genetic make up, you kind of saying that it's genetics that make them racist and not their culture.

I don't know man, some parts of eastern Europe aren't that friendly towards folks with a different skin colour. It irks me though that somehow Europeans get dragged into this. As far as I know, this happened in the good old US of A. Still shows that rascism over there seems to be alive and kicking over there.

I agree with you about the fact that Bieber and that woman are Canadian/American, but I don't agree about the percentage of racism in Europe because I am chinese and I live in Italy and here it's waaaaaaay higher than 5%.

I'd say that most people in Italy are at least a bit racist, even though some don't even know that; it's something that they have inside and it's something I notice many times in their behaviour or in their speeches.

I don't know how is the situation in other european countries, but I don't think it's too different. I think that probably only in England racism is lower
