Ugh, not a big deal, but I would have hoped they had figured out by now how to make the ship combat more compelling. I wouldn't say it's been terrible, but it's definitely been lacking in previous entries.Cons

There seem to be some preload issues according to Insomniacs Twitter. Sony should be looking into it.
Taking a step back and looking at the entire Ratchet & Clank picture, it's easy to see how missed this franchise has been from the gaming industry. The combination of wondrous gadgets and galaxies with its unique narrative and engaging characters, Ratchet & Clank on the PS4 has been way overdue, and this initial installment on the platform is simply incredible. I highly recommend it to any longtime fan of the series as well as newcomers who have yet to experience the awesomeness that is Ratchet & Clank.
Absolutely!
Pretty much perfect for you
Yes, it should be a decent pickup at the very least.

funny no Gamespot or Polygon reviews are up yet, but Im not really interested on theirs anyway. Now only looking forward for Giant Bomb and Jimquistion ones

Giant Bomb doesn't review games anymore unfortunately.
Like where is Dark Souls 3?...
So I'm not sure I've ever played a Ratchet and Clank game before. If I have it would've just been at a friend's place for a bit as I never had a Playstation growing up.
Reckon I'd enjoy this or would all the cameos/references get in the way?
IGN: "The 15-hour campaign follows some of the same whimsical, Star Wars-inspired storyline as the original game, but adds depth to characters while expanding the scope of the adventure."
One could argue the spin offs weren't all that good. (A4O and FFA) and the smaller titles (SM and QFB) weren't as good as the mainline ones.A quality ratchet game?! How is this shocking. This is one of the consistently great franchises in gaming. Never had a doubt.
Would I like this game if I enjoyed Sunset Overdrive? I never played a R&C game before.

One thing I've learned here on GAF is to never take people's play times as gospel. I remember people swearing up and down that The Order took them 3 and half hours when it took me almost 8. The Last of Us could be cleared in 12 by some here when it took me close to 20 hours.
Point is everyone plays differently. It'll be different for a lot of folks.
damn it, I was not expecting such good reviews

Yeah so true. My play times of both of those games is the same as you bro. We just like to smell the roses of destruction and mayhem

Second highest rated exclusive behind Bloodborne.

gaming trend (75/100):
okay. i get how it could be the first 3, plus short. but how can it be beautiful, funny, fun and 'stale' at the same time?! ...

And don't forget that today's the last day to order the game for $31 on Amazon if you have a Prime account. I just did!
Holy crap how is 10-15 hours for a $40 game short?!?! Maybe I have a different perspective as I've gotten older and less free time, but god damn, not every game has to be RPG-like taking 50+ hours. Like damn, this game hits the sweet spot, if anything, longer than I had anticipated. Like seriously, I disagree!
I thought the prime offer was valid up to 2 weeks after launch?
