What's amazing about Roy Koopa is I remember reading about secret characters in Melee back when it first came out in Japan, and I got excited when I saw Roy was a character, thinking it was Roy Koopa. Then I was like, "WTF is Fire Emblem?" And now, Roy Koopa actually -is- playable! And with the iconic Clown Car, to boot!

Wrecking Crew stage would be interesting. I wonder why it would be in the 3DS version if its a WiiU stage. Maybe it was cut at the last minute or will be DLC? Also

Congrats! Imo, Charizard/captain falcon had the easiest time. Charizard was only tough against his shadow form, but I had 0 issues other than luck w/ captain falcon. Little mac might not be too bad, either. A lot of up-smash?

I feel most comfortable with Little Mac--and I just love him as a character, so I was determined to win with him. ;P Lots of Up Smash, indeed, and a good healthy dose of Side B and Up B to boot, occasionally using the KO Uppercut when available. Having a counter helped for stuff like the Twin Hands' fist-in-palm attack or the enormous fist attack when Master Core is in dragon(?) form.

Foreman Spike is actually one of the 4 Wii U to 3DS link up characters in a huge curve ball to all expectations.
That would actually be kind of neat to be honest. I really underrated Wrecking Crew until I played it, it's aged pretty well and is fairly fun.

Now that I think about it, Wrecking Crew is a Mario game, why would a stage need its own icon? Wouldn't it just use the Mushroom like the Golden Hammer?
But is it... reeeeally? It's as much a mario game as Donkey kong is.

Finally beat Classic on 9.0! I customized Little Mac by boosting his attack and defense, and what a world of difference that made. All I can say is that a little extra staying power goes a LONG way against Master Core, especially when so many of its attacks can blast you off the platform even at low percentages. (Granted, I got lucky when Shadow Mac SD'ed, but I'd like to think I fooled the computer into doing it by dodging at the right time.)

Pikachu has quite an easy time against Master Core if you want to beat him with a different character, and the shadow you is the easiest form of them all at least to me.
It's not true yet, so hold off on your preorder (though you should still get the game!)

In Brawl the Golden Hammer was from the Mario series.
Seems like they were late cuts. It feeds me painful hope that Ivysaur might be back some day, although I know deep down it'll never happen.
Had a feeling the stage list was fake; the lack of info for a 3DS-Wii U connection severely hurt it, but a Wrecking Crew stage'd be a killing blow. I'm not gonna lie and say I didn't want it to happen; I really want an Endless Ocean stage. But still, that list didn't seem quite right.

The Find Mii stage uses a different icon than the Tomodachi Life stage, and neither icon is used by the Mii Fighters. Sakurai works in mysterious ways when it comes to icons...
Y'all all know how much I love Little Mac, but fuck me, Robin blows my hype out of the water. Such a wonderful fighter, so technical with the magical tomes, air smashes, and awesome skill.

that's exactly what i did, but with side air too. Thunder I tried afterwards and it makes the dog/beast like master core super easy

Funny enough when I went through the character videos I lost intrest in Robin. But I came out really liking WFT.
Considering everyone from Brawl is there including Alloys I'm more inclined to think this is due to porting from Brawl.
I've tried robin a handful of times and it isn't clicking for me, so thanks for sharing the video, maybe it'll help me out.

I've been messing around w/ DK recently and he's my favorite incarnation of him so far. He feels way stronger and is more fun to play. Also I love that he can roll.
Thank you for killing the Ivysaur dream. That's not a joke, seriously, thank you for stopping me from wanting Ivysaur back; it would've only ended in heartbreak!

Just like ROB, he just FEELS better to play as than he did in brawl. A lot of characters just FEEL better, but that's probably more the improved engine than anything.
The "kills are too slow guys" or whatever bit sounded a bit confrontational I guess.
I could posts loads of gifs of me steam rolling people in for glory with 0 to death "combos" because the other person doesn't know how to VI or even play properly and say the kill speed was fine or that the combos in the game are great, doesn't mean it's true.
