I'll eat crow for 8GB GDDR5-gate. nything's fucking possible now. :lol
IIRC, always online, blocking used games, and specs inferior to the PS4. At least I think it was them that said these things.
Nothing on the specs, just this, which may not impress you as much. What rumors does edge have about the 720?
I thought I would, but I came out disappointed, so it's all good.
I see that I was arguing for the feasibility of large amounts of GDDR5 "towards the end of 2013" in that thread. Feels good man.
The 8GB GDDR5 RAM has everyone eating crow, myself included. So much for Durango's "double the RAM argument" lolol.
Forgot about that one, I was pretty sure Sony wouldn't be ready to release the PS4 until Spring, 2014.I've been saying a new PS3 was coming in 2013 for around a year now.
I think they'll go with 6 GB, and take a loss so they can undercut the PS4 by $150 to $200 to get a head start. Now, there's the MS will match or exceed 8 GB ram argument popping up.
Aegies, you said it was a huge last minute change to go with 8, so wouldnt that give microsoft plenty of time to make similar changes in specs?
And honestly, that sounds like a great idea. Maybe not quite as high as $150-200, though.I think they'll go with 6 GB, and take a loss so they can undercut the PS4 by $150 to $200 to get a head start.
There was one poster (I forgot who, sorry) that mentioned the possibility of repurposing 8gb dev kits into retail form without delaying and going back to R&D. I was surprised many people glossed over that post.
got a hint that it might have 8 gig ram . Cant say anything more than that sorry
How about you find any example of me saying "secret sauce," ever. I will paypal you ten dollars if you do.
My sources pointed to much less than 3GB of RAM occupied by the OS and Kinect, etc. But at this point, things could change. We're actually at a point where small details can change a lot, and Sony having 4GB of RAM means that Microsoft has breathing room to play, perhaps. I have some ideas as to what some of the "secret sauce" might be, but I'm not ready to talk yet.
It will be a technological miracle if they can get it working.

You better stop with some of your claims, otherwise it wont be a crow your eating but a 747 tarred in crow feathers
I doubt it, but clearly, anything is possible. I don't know. If I were Microsoft, I would see this as an opportunity to aggressively pursue a price advantage, and I think they'll be in a better position to cost reduce and get production up to where they want it.
Quoting someone else! WITH ACTUAL QUOTE MARKS. I'll let mods decide on that one, but I don't think that counts.

'Didn't think PS4 would have 8gb of RAM' would be better than 'Junior Member'.not me I was all for it
I said Gaikai wouldn't work for BC. There's no crow there.
I said Gaikai wouldn't work for BC. They said they'd like it to some day. There's no crow there.
I said there was a 99% chance of Vita US price drop.
I was 100% fucking wrong.
But at least they gave me a reason not to sell mine.
So much classic material...
Aegis "Secret Sauce"
8GB DDR5 is "impossible"
Destiny timed exclusive on durango
Tonight was the end of some of the so-called industry insiders.
They said that they're gearing up to provide BC for PS1, PS2, PS3 games through cloud and that the service will be implemented progressively. They also said that Sony has greenlighted a huge investement in this sense.
So no it's more than a vague promise and Gaikai will work for BC.
