It totally understand you.
But in my honest opinion, these people have a problem with the entire genre then (if it doesn't have a online-multiplayer), because these kind of games have that lenght (of 6 - 10 hours). It's the normal lenght.
So it seems like they have to play RPG's or multiplayer games forever.
Would it work? Does the game output the aspect ratio, or is it outputting 1080p with bars?
i dont think the PS4 can actually output 21:9 res, it would probably look awful lol.
I come to this thread to read impressions of gaffers who actually played the game and not watch some YouTube vids only to find debates about the game's length. Sigh.
Anyone got a link to the posts? Rather not wade through all this mess.
Will do. Thanks!See my post near the end of the last page.
I will share my impressions later ;-) !
If you can, time yourself with a stopwatch (maybe via your phone) because people are going to ask about how long you took. Guaranteed.

If this game had an incredible story I think being about 6 hours+ would have been ok. But if it doesn't, that kinda makes the entire thing pointless imo, and ruins everything RAD was going for

So what was the weakness of the story since you have played the whole thing.

He hasn't played it; you're in another The Order thread
What? Of course I haven't played it. From early impressions people have been saying that the story is "ok" or some of the characters aren't that interesting. If people out of the gate had said "wow the story though" then that would have been better

I have read 6 impressions now (4 on GAF and 2 others) and the fastest one finished the game after 9 hours. The rest was between 10 and 12 hours.
But of course it's a 5 hours game now, because someone "rushed" (e.g. not taking care for collectibles and "sprinting" through silent, atmospheric areas) the game on medium difficulty...

Oh, so a "normal" through is hunting for collectibles and playing on hard?
The person didn't rush through and I know this since I watched a few of the videos myself and the majority of people probably don't care about collectibles.
Not at all, like for example in TLoU (or any other stealth/multi-genre game) if you get caught all the enemies get alerted and you have to fight them all together or try to evade. If they are not alerted, you can pick them off one by one. All stealth games give you some leeway in salvaging the situation if you get caught. This aspect was disliked by many people who thought it felt out of place in the game otherwise. Why would have they... if an area is meant to be done with stealth, as any other game, if you're caught you need to restart...
I'm a gaffer and I don't collect shit . Eg uc games or tlou's pendants in like oh cool 50 more left I don't care . I do read up on story related collectible at times tho depends on the strength of the storyOfcourse. Looking around, collecting some stuff and always on hard.
You're a Gaffer.
Most people will probably play on normal and won't collect shit.

Enjoy the game though!
Where did you order from?
Ofcourse. Looking around, collecting some stuff and always on hard.

I'm a pathetic excuse of a Gaffer!
I play a lot of games on easy.
OK, so as I said I was at the preview event today. Unfortunately we were told that we could not share anything of what we saw till the embargo lifts except our interview with Pessino (for which I'll have to go back in the afternoon).
They even told us to refrain from posting our opinions on social media until the embargo date and to not mention the recent leaks (youtube vids, streams etc...).
There was something in the presentation that Passino said I am dying to share but I can't...
I have to be back there in about an hour and a half for the interview (which is fortunately not embargoed).
All I can say for now is that I agree with the opinions previously shared here by the people that have the full game.
Sony is trying really hard to control what comes out and in what way. They seemed very upset about the broken street date, as well as the information that hit the web before the embargo was up. Having said that, I believe they are right. This was a game that would immensely benefit from hype build-up, I am sure the people who got it already agree with me.
It seems to me that through the history of this forum we always have a lot of concerned posts over total playtime concerning every game that comes out. For all the deep concerns though have we ever actually had a game come out that was deemed a terrible value based on length? I can't think of one game I have played and thought - WTF! Thats it!! Only BLANK hours!!!
