The world at large quickly realizes I'm transgender a few months before I come out to everyone in real life. Oh noes. Beyond that? My browsing history is extremely tame compared to most.

I think you're assuming people saying "jail" is for porn, but most likely the jail is for "piracy".

Yeah, there's more to the internet than just porn related things.

Piracy, drugs, alcohol, treason, terrorism, hate speech, bullying, falsely appearing as someone else, cyber crimes and a bunch of other things that don't necessarily clash against the law but would be horribly immoral especially when compared to modern standards.

By the way, what comes to piracy versus porn, I'd say people who'd go to jail for piracy would go because they have illegally downloaded so much porn :D

Bear in mind that some of us live in the UK, where they voted not too long ago to ban pornography including: fisting, watersports, face sitting, BDSM and so forth. Basically anything with the potential for harm, even if simulated. Not everywhere has the same protections as America.

Also bear in mind that there are a lot of fetishes out there which I suspect are only not illegal because they're so niche.

I wonder if someone's job is to research fetishes and sex practices to ban, or if they were like "One and done! We have banned everything we don't like; mission accomplished."

They won't take my sensual throat-bulge videos without a fight.

I would be pretty embarrassed if it was just my history and mine alone. But if everyone's was out there in the open it would probably be equal embarrassment all around.
