Apparently they don't see a benefit in going back to Steam, or they would.
I feel like their reasons for not going back are strictly political at this point.
Angel City
Fracture
Lagoon
Colony
Demeter
Relic
Airbase
Boneyard
Corporate
Outpost 207
Rise
Smuggler's Cove
Overlook
Nexus
Training Ground
Thanks. I remember liking all but one (lagoon)
I liked all the original maps. And among the additional ones, I only dislike Swampland. I'm not even sure why, probably the trees that block all lines of fire.
Welp, looks like Im buying that Vanguard Edition.
So gears mp is kind of ridiculous how good people are
Battlefield I would feel like I should be playing on pc
People say the new cod sucks
Maybe I should be playing tf2.....
Angel City isn't available until December. It's 9 at launch.
Which honestly is disappointing considering 3 were garbage. Considering the first one had 15 maps all of which were playable I don't see how people can defend it. Yes the maps are free, which is nice, but there still should have been more to begin with.
I've played through the first three chapters or so.I'll wait for actual impressions here regarding the campaign. Even though some of the reviewers praised it, it sounds- at best - like nothing special.
If there's one thing the original Titanfall was good at, it was creating a level playing field. I never once felt like I was outmatched.
I seriously want this game, then I realized that I would have no friends (I have friends, just they won't play this one, I don't think) to play with. While I think I'll have fun, it would definitely have a better stay with some close friends to play with people.
The campaign is worthy eh.
On my radar now.
You can join a NeoGAF network. Simple as opening the game and viola.I seriously want this game, then I realized that I would have no friends (I have friends, just they won't play this one, I don't think) to play with. can we use a vpn to play early like people did for BF1?
The scores are encouraging on aggregate, but man, that Polygon review pretty much crystallizes all my worst fears about the new MP balance coming out of the beta.![]()

Cobalt Izuna has generously made a spreadsheet that you can use to party up with other GAF folks. There'll also be a GAF network on every platform at launch.Bruh if you are getting it on PC hit me up. I will be in the exact same situation as you.

Quote to see the spreadsheet link.
"Titanfall 2 has, without a doubt, the smoothest, best controlling player movement in a shooter that Ive ever laid hands on. "
God yes.

like someone else has said there's something cool now called "networks". you'll see the gaf network, you'll see the reddit network, you'll probably find a whole bunch of other ones so you'll always have someone to play with.
this is such an underappreciated and talked about feature.
Two more reviews.
GameRevolution - Score: 80 / 100
"8 months after Respawn Entertainment debuted their big proof-of-concept project, Titanfall 2 delivers on the promise made by such an idea, and amazingly, goes even further. The single-player campaign is a blast while the multiplayer is solid if only slightly underwhelming."
USGamer (SPOILERS) - Score: 80 / 100
"Although it's a little on the short side, and its production values are a bit oldschool, Titanfall 2's single-player campaign is a really enjoyable experience while it lasts. It's very inventive and fun, and a great warm-up for the game's excellent multiplayer component, whose gunplay and controls are absolutely outstanding. All it needs is a few more maps and modes."

Most reviewers saying game is improved in multiplayer and especially in solo campaign.
After the much criticized open beta, these reviews are a genuine surprise.
Most reviewers wouldn't have been all that into Titanfall 1. Given TF2 multiplayer feels so much like CoD now, I can understand the "improved multiplayer" calls. Given they all love CoD.
Initial reviews seem positive. What's the word on the single player campaign? Decent or a quick, generic go from a to b and beat the boss?

It hasn't blown me away or anything BUT I actually think it stands a chance of being a better campaign than any other competing shooter this holiday (well, unless you count Gears 4, but that's kind of a different thing).
It's less scripted feeling that a Call of Duty campaign and there are more quiet moments in between battles. I like the pacing and how you switch up between platforming areas, Titan based areas, light navigation, and various types of combat.
Early on, after you get your Titan, you reach a massive gate blocking the way. You obviously have to figure that out. So you jump out, take out some enemies, and then you end up going deep into the level of with some platforming and wall running followed by a long distance battle before meeting up with a friendly squad where you engage in close quarters before you find a way to clear the path for your Titan.
Simple, right? Sure, but there is something satisfying to that type of basic problem solving that is missing in Call of Duty or Battlefield. You gain more of an attachment to the level itself rather than just bust through each zone. It's also possible to fight more aggressively and actively more like Halo than Cod, where I feel you have to hold back and take out enemies from a distance as they pour into the scene.
There haven't been any of those "enemy spawn" battles either where they just pour troops into an area endlessly. You sometimes approach camps where you can see all of the enemies. It's possible to get the drop on them, Crysis style, but the AI really isn't tuned for stealth gameplay, unfortunately. Still, it's closer to Halo or Crysis at that point than CoD.
Again, I'm only a short way in, but I do think it seems like it could be a solid campaign.
that's a ridiculous assumption and none of the videos posted by frothy show me a "cod feel"
