TITANFALL 2 Reviews Thread

Sorry if it's not cool to post this here, but I have a couple of those Mountian Dew Titanfall codes if anyone wants them.

EDIT: All gone.

Anybody have predictions for the PC community? I have very low hopes and probably won't buy near release unless it stays strong for more than a month.

How come theres a mt dew/dorito code for "early ronin access"

oh my god

Hey! So you'll have 3 Titans unlocked right away and can unlock the rest via merits or leveling up. It doesn't take long to get all six at all. Pros like you folks will have them in no time.

confirmed you need to unlock them

feel free to unlock the one you like the most right off the bat though because

Also with starting merits you can unlock a 4th pretty much right away and the others are quick. You won't need to do a lot of grinding for Titans. That's for all the other stuff :)

Just finished the campaign. It's a masterpiece. Reminded me of Vanquish more than any FPS I could think of. Best campaign of its kind since Modern Warfare 2 or Halo Reach, but probably better than either.

Play it on Hard.

As someone who only wants to play this for the campaign...

Ahh I see. At least its not locked to a campaign type thing like Titanfall 1 was. I remember you had to do MP campaigns or something like that to unlock the Ogre

Yeah they fixed that once they changed how the campaign playlist worked and made it unlock after a certain level.

Was just going to comment that three are unlocked off the bat (Northstar, Scorch and Ion), but it's SUPER cheap (in merits) to unlock 'en,

I'm just at level 6 and I unlocked Legion since I liked using him. :) Won't be an issue at all.

Well what the hell you guys told me the beta was the worst thing ever so I cancelled my preorder. Not like I could form my own opinion since no PC beta.

(seriously though I might go for it, key resellers are cheaper than the amazon preorder was anyways).

this was my problem with the first one. I didn't have time to play it at release and by the time I wanted to, there was no point.

So what's the deal with the fixed titan loadouts, I loved making random titan builds to fit my playstyle in the first game. What kind of unlocks do you get for the titans? Are you stuck with the same weapon or can that be changed?

does this game have a toggle ADS like CoD's NOM4D control scheme or BF's click (vs. hold) option?

I'm disabled so options like that are a huge help :c can't find any info on it

Lord, this makes me really happy to hear, cannot wait for Friday to get here... speaking of which, I really hate that publishers are following this new trend of releasing games on Fridays rather than Tuesdays.

This week's Giant Bombcast is the first time I've actually had the Titan Battery thing thoroughly explained to me. Sounds great in the context of how they described it:

  • You need to be smarter about how you handle your titan
  • You need to work with your team for titan survivability instead of just going it alone
  • It makes pilots much more formidable against titans - an individual pilot doing damage without destroying the titan is far more meaningful now, instead of the first Titanfall where if a Titan escaped a pilot, they could hunker down and easily recharge

From a Respawn member

"Ronin unlocks at level 7 Tone unlocks at level 11 Legion unlocks at level 15
... but you can unlock any of them early with your ingame credits. We start everyone with 20 credits, and you'll earn more as you level up. The 3 Titans are super cheap at 10, 15 and 20 respectively meaning you have enough credits from the start to unlock any Titan you would like as your 4th."
