Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says any Cowboy player disrespecting the flag won't play

No surprise.

Maybe some of these players need to salute the flag while standing on a dirty, desecrated confederate flag. See what some of these "respect the flag and troops" people say then.

The funny thing is this comes after he kneeled, so to the people on the racist side of this who really care (and aren't just running their mouths), the Cowboys are already persona non grata.

When you stake a political position you can't take any half-measures. You need to pick a side, clearly, and stick with it.

Thought Emoji Movie was good. Take that as you will.
So many white people with their damn feelings hurt.. what ever shall we do.

If you get butthurt about someone kneeling that's a "you" problem. Get over yourself.

I hope they all kneel.

Insane how many people don't even ask WHY they're kneeling... because they already know and hate the answer even more.

"But this is not about disrespecting the flag, it's about *insert exhaustive and coherent explanations about racism, discrimination and division within the country*"

"Yeah but why do you have to disrepect the flag while doing it?"

Let a black person do something a white doesn't like and all hell breaks lose.

Let a white person do something, and they are using their American liberties.

You can't have it both ways, you old decrepit senile old man

Be kneeling one week and then yapping about not doing the same thing you kneeled last week for

So I'm guessing this was all a publicity stunt

White rich man using his white privilege to force his opinion on others, must be a first in history... Oh wait!

Good thing nobody is doing that, right?

Meanwhile, he had no problem letting Greg Hardy play. I would love to see someone who is good test his threat here

Daddy Trump probably said something.

How to scare a rich white man to "Shook Levels"

Just be white, more rich, more powerful, those fuckers get in line quick

Trump is President, all those rich whites that laughed at him now are kissing ass like no tomorrow to get themselves a piece of that sweet juicy Trump ass pie

Well it would make things interesting even if half the starters kneel. This is a well cooked L waiting to be served to him.

Kneeling, the gesture which has been a sign of respect, reverence, and subjugation since basically Ancient Rome, is now a sign of disrespect when black folks do it during a song that was written when they were owned by other humans, and a flag that had its 50th star sewn in before they were "guaranteed" "equal" rights. Fucking insanity.

Yep, they've now banned kneeling.

Trump and the Billionaires that run the NFL won. That's it. It's over.

This is the lengths America goes to in order to avoid even thinking about the topic of race.

The NBA banned kneeling too, and they're supposed to be more liberal.

The flag means nothing to me if we don't do our best to afford every man and woman their equal rights. It stands for a lie.

Teen gets expelled for not standing up during the pledge of allegiance.

A lawsuit says a Houston student's Constitutional rights were violated when she was expelled for not standing for the Pledge of Allegiance.

Randall Kallinen, an attorney for 17-year-old India Landry's family, said the civil lawsuit was filed Saturday against the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District and a high school principal.

The lawsuit says Landry, who'd been sitting for the pledge in class, was expelled Monday after doing that in the principal's office. The lawsuit says Landry returned to school Friday after the principal reversed course, saying Landry could sit.

This seems like some potential low key good news. Ridiculous reactions/responses like this will only strengthen the protest

As soon as it started affecting ratings the shield has started to fold. It’s pretty bs how effectively Trump has used the bully pulpit to shut down protests.

Also the fight in any political issue isn’t about if the issue has merits but who can redefine what the issue actually is, and Republicans are really good at doing it.

What the fuck is going on in this country? I never stood up for the pledge of allegiance in high school.
