It just says the first Far Cry was based on CryEngine. They use their Dunai Engine which is a heavily modified Cry Engine though.

They are. It is Dunia 2, derivation of CryEngine. As for CryEngine being used in the small print, i assume it is due to licensing terms or something like that.
