The real question is, how much will this Ryzen chip cost compared to the 6900K?
Yeah this Zen isn't going to be in the Scorpio, lol.
Lisa is comparing cost a lot so I'm assuming it's going to be cheaper.
It's just a case of how much cheaper.
I can't imagine it will be anywhere near the $1,100 a 6900k costs.
Didn't they cover up the clock speed of the AMD CPU during the handbrake bench?
I don't have audio turned on since I'm at work though...
Since the IPC is supposedly within range of modern Intel processors, it actually means that they could have something good on their hands this time.3.4 means nothing by itself. IPC performance will be important when comparing it to Skylake/Kaby Lake.
Of course not, anyone expecting their high end sku Scorpio was delusional. At best it would have gotten one of the lowest if not lowest part.
It was default without any boost, 3.4
If Zen was in Scorpio, it would have been mentioned by now by MS.
Titan X with Zen for their 4k demo.![]()
Not really.
Zen is Ryzen
8 cores, 16 threads
3.4GHz+ base frequency
20MB L2+L3 cache
95W TDP
Now live benchmarks
Nvidia graphics card in an AMD CPU demo....lol.
Zen downgrading image quality for better performance confirmed.is it just me or did the AMD version look worse? it didn't seem like it was 4K ultra.
Nvidia graphics card in an AMD CPU demo....lol.
AMD confirms Nvidia > AMD?
Cannonlake and beyond is going to pushing towards 6 cores in the i7 processor. They're only talking about 8C/16T which seems overkill for gaming. I' way more interested in an i7-6700k/7700k competitor.
No better way to test CPU Performance in Battlefield 1 than single player...
Oh man, I know there's many variables at play in multiplayer but it's pretty pointless to test CPU performance in single player, multiplayer performance is a lot more CPU bound.
Weren't ready to show off Vega I guess.Nvidia graphics card in an AMD CPU demo....lol.
If it's under $250 then I postpone my pc build, but it won't be 250
they didn't even include the FPS counter which seems suspect as hell lol
To that extent, at the pre-briefing, Ryan was shown two systems running Titan X graphics cards in SLI and Battlefield 1 at 4K settings - one system was running Ryzen, and the other an i7-6900K (the 8-core Broadwell-E chip). Ryan was unable to determine an obvious visual difference between the two frame-rate wise, which was the point of the demo.
Nah, just Zen.So no VEGA today?
