Nintendo Downloads - March 2015

Xeodrifter has some small issues, but it's definitely recommended for $5.

Not bugs or anything to clarify, just issues I had with the gameplay.

I was able to have someone download Mighty Switch Force 2 earlier for me from my house and just made the sale in time, whoo. $1.50 is an amazing deal. Now I need to play this and finally finish MSF1 while I'm at it.

That said, Nintendo REALLY needs a proper web shop.

Oh right, two free songs for Theatrhythm: Curtain Call. Guess that's a good enough reason to take a break from Codename Steam & revisit that.

I would also like to put forth my opinion that Xeodrifter is indeed worth it at $5. I had way more fun than I was expecting with that game, it might be Renegade's best game.

Nintendo, I put up with the $5 upper on the cost of games - and in the case of Mario Party, $10 - because of my country of residence.

But now you want $2.49 for the Mario v DK and Codename STEAM themes?

Of course you realize, this means war.

I can't think of a good title for the Fossil Fighters: Frontier OT. If somebody can think of a huge groan-inducing dinosaur pun for me then that would be great.

Ask me about the GAF Notebook
It's also coming to other platforms, I'll wait for now.

It won't be as good. It's already on Steam, but the 3DS version is better because this game makes use of the 3D well much like Renegade Kid's other game Mutant Mudds.

Plus it won't be $5.

So now that Konami is going to be out of business sooner than later, do you think somebody will pick up the Hudson catalog?

Is this true?

Edit: OK, catching up on crazy Kojima and Konami news now.

Anyways yeah, someone would need to save Hudson library not to mention classic Konami series like Gradius, Contra, Goemon, ect which have been neglected for too long. Hey, yeah, go out of business any time you're ready, Konami!

WayForward should pick up the Hudson IPs. I'd trust them to make a good, full-fledged Bomberman game, for example.

And some Bonk and Air Zonk titles!

Out of the (non-gambling) gaming business, maybe. They do lots of other stuff (sort of unfortunately). I wouldn't count your chickens yet. I do wish someone who actually makes games would buy Hudson's IPs though. We need real Bomberman back.

I don't know. WayForward consistently delivers rock-solid core gameplay, but it's almost always delivered in anemic packages.

Of their original IPs I've never considered their games not worth the asking price. They may not be super packed with content but they're never $60 either. And their licensed work basically doesn't count. It's...different.

I would like Indies Zero to reborn Hudson IPs.

They work very welll with nostalgic feelings. (Game Center CX, Theatrhythm games, NES Remix)

Why wait when you can play it now. ;)

It's just that it wouldn't be on my primary platform, chances are I wouldn't play it on the 3DS even if I bought it. It's a great suggestion though, I'll definitely get it in the future.

Nobody seems to be talking about the Spy Chameleon sale -- is it only in Canada? If I remember correctly it's down to $4. If you'll recall it won my Nintendo Downloads December 2014 seal of approval!

Konami does other things than video games and from what I understand those do fine as well. Konami's video game department is likely in trouble though with Kojima's upcoming departure and there goes Silent Hills T_T.
