So I asked this many pages ago, but I didn't see anyone respond. Does anyone know how much up ps4 is ytd compared to 2014?

Are you predicting that a Platinum developed video game is going to struggle to sell? What a revolutionary prediction!

And it's not about individual game sells at this point. Diversifying the software portfolio should be an important endeavor for Microsoft, regardless of whether they have to take a hit on a title or two.

There are 9 tombs in the game, so 1 million divided by 9 would be 111k, but it's over that, so expect a bit higher.

The game did sub Type-0 numbers in the US, thanks Kagari for the 200k info there.

Good job for both Sony and MS.

Also....what a shitty fucking situation Tomb Raider found itself it. This game didn't deserve this at all. Need for speed also didn't deserve its sales ratio what with that always online nonsense. I wonder how many angry parents tried to return that after finding out it would not work without a connection.

I wasn't (I had kinda hoped I admit). I wasn't even sure about Battlefield but I'm happy to see it did (Yes, I like the game. I realize a lot of people here disagree with me but I like it and I think it should do well. Plus, I think if it does well enough Bethesda might do a money grab and get Obsidian to do another one and I do think Obsidian does the superior Fallout).

It's not going to shrink going forward.

December is very much not "up for grabs."

Might want to pump the brakes a bit before you really cement a reputation for yourself here.

I doubt it dude. Judgement floundered, the game is now being made by a new team, and the E3 showing didn't exactly stun. I'd be surprised if it overtakes Halo as Microsoft's biggest franchise, unless it ends up being really good.

Congrats to both PS4 and Xbox One on their amazing sales numbers. If Nintendo had dropped price further or bundled more games it could have done well as well.

I hope Microsoft brings Xbox one price to 299 for December or else PS4 might win this month as well.

I was hoping to see Uncharted collection and tomb raider. Would be interesting to see which sold more.

Gears 4 has a lot going for it compared to Halo 5: franchise break, no MCC style broken game, less competition in the TPS multiplayer space and having an open beta (or appears to be open).

They need to get the right release date (which Halo 5 didn't i'd say), have the game hit a certain quality bar (which Halo 5 did imo but didn't really matter so much after 4/MCC) and then price their bundle better.

I think it has the potential to do it anyway.

Not the same, Sony dominated Japan since PSX. MS just had 1 gen to themselves in US. PS2 was a beast in US too.

Oh yeah, congrats to Sony for taking the month; very much deserved. And to MS for still selling a crap load. Sales were huge for both. I honestly did think Tomb Raider would chart, though at the bottom. SE/MS really screwed the pooch with the launch date and exclusivity. It is what it is though. Unfortunately, I can't see it selling a lot when it releases on PS4 next year.

Eh, it also makes it easier on the guys working retail, which i hear was a nightmare with just Guitar Hero and Rockband, now you got them plus toys.

I mean it's an interesting concept but it's based on artifically lowering and increasing supply, and a shallow game with 80% of it locked when all the info is already on the disc.

Please give me the future predicting links that don't show December is up for grabs, despite the two in november being closer than EVERYONE though, and that you can tell in the next 365 days after that Xbox one won't win ONE month?

Future prediction stuff is cool but i'm pretty sure it does not exist.
