There is nothing more spurious than discrediting the reviews you disagree with. Remember that they've played the game, and you haven't. Even more spurious is deciding to declare Giant Bomb an outlier while happily ignoring that a lot of Quantum Break's highest scores are coming from outlets like the Daily Star.

Yeah the graphics in The Order are still unmatched. But from what i've seen, the time mechanics are way more exciting than the regular shooting in The Order. Although The Order did have some sweet weapons.

I think you maybe misunderstood the post then. "As someone who liked those games, I can barely name one this gen." means he/she can barely name one of those games this gen.

Seems like most reviews are 80+ then two 40's drag it down. Be as that may Ill judge for myself when it releases. Metacritic tends to be a flawed system, but its an average and there really isnt getting around that when every game is under the same metric. I do think metacritic is a good base to go by, but it is far from perfect.

What i tend to look at is reviewers who I trust. Gametrailers was that source for me, and I guess now EasyAllies.

It's hard to surprise with a linear third person shooter. You have to excel at everything you do (like the Uncharted games) or introduce innovative mechanics (Vanquish).

6-10 hours depending on how you play, maybe even more. There are also collectibles and some branching story stuff for replayability.

Expecting a quick, fun action game that is really a standard cover shooter with beautiful looks sometimes interrupted (even bloated) by a B-tier TV series. Seems like that's what a good amount of critics are saying.

I respect and love Remedy, but I'm not interested in the TV aspect so if the game is otherwise short and a decent 3rd person action shooter, thinking good not great! Still looking forward to playing it.
