what i don't understand at all in valkyria chronicles is why do enemy turns show like they have like 12 ap but then they only use like 6 and end it

It's like Proteus with a heavy Lost (the TV series) vibe. It's an exploration game and it's steeped in mystery. Don't want to spoil too much. I like it.

I should be getting bit Dungeon II in sometime this week, so I'll post impressions. I bought the original on Android and really liked it, so I'm pretty stoked for it to come out on Steam soon.

It depends on the mission & conditions.
If their mission is to defend their base, why would they wander around the map looking for the attacker?
In several occation where the imps are the one who attacked, they usually used up all of their APs.
Besides that, a single unit can't really act more than twice in a row.

It's like Gone Home + collectathon. Click on the spoiler if you want to read what I mean by that.

It's a first-person explorer. So it's like Gone Home (I've never played Gone Home, but I have read stuff about it) but there are also collectibles in the form of mysterious AI. There are 1-2 of them per level that you need to find and they reveal another part of the story.

There are no puzzles, outside of figuring out what the story is.

It'll help with the jaggies, no doubt. The game looked pretty bad(in that instance) on my desk setup, so I moved some of my gear to the living room for one hell of an experience at a distance.

i've done more than 3 actions with a single dude

'Can't really', they can but very limited. Troops with unlimited ammo are fine, but the other troops like lancers and snipers won't be able to do that.

Have you reached chapter 7 yet?
The reinforcement is an example that they can use all of their AP in a turn.

I downloaded it from the Groupee's installer. I don't like the music. It's a turn-based game with permadeath and lots of loot. Gameplay reminded me of Battlepaths but with pixel graphics. Also has an easy mode for those that don't like to die. All I have to say is that I'd rather play Dungeon Dashers.

Absolutely, MGS4 is the best MGS to date in my opinion, it perfects the gameplay and is just the ultimate fan service game for MGS fans and people that are interested in the story.

EDIT: I also want to add that I beat MGS4 16 times, it was that good, all the difficulties, all the emblems, everything, it was so infinitely playable for me, it's probably my favorite game on PS3 honestly.

The fan service almost ruined MGS4 for me, even with the great streamlined gameplay, but at least it gave us Raiden and Vamp dance offs and Ocelot's opening hype monologue.

Ocelot and Vamp are so cool. Dumb, but cool.

i heard not-so-great things about chapter 7 heh

i'm also confused how the rating system works. seems to me like it's only rating you on number of turns but that sounds pretty lame

Bombing Bastards looks like a Bomberman clone? The other two have a pretty art style, anyone got any info on them?


edit: I'm kind of feeling Zelda vibes from Bit Dungeon II, but I've been burned by games with that before, so I'll keep my expectations tempered. Dollhouse looks like a neat horror game.

I tried Luna: Shattered Hearts ep1 on Desura.
If the Steam version is a mammoth improvement it's probably still gonna be terrible.
