There are still a lot of "fake" choices though. Just like in HR or BTS.
It looks amazing but for me it's a rental. Replay value doesn't seem high because there a lots of "forced slow walking"- moments.
It seems more like a movie where you can change or replace scenes.
lol some store in Germany must have broken the street date. There's like 5 german streams going on right now.

How are they "fake" choices if you haven't even played it? How do you know those decisions won't effect the game?
I can't say it because it would be a spoiler. I'm watching streams.
Did you watch the entire game? How do you know those choices don't have long-term consequences? How do you know the other choice wouldn't have caused a different outcome?
Put spoiler tag up and speak or stop.Lol, I don't know how to explain it without using spoilers. There are enough choices, don't worry. But not all of them will have different consequences.

Technically, only the 22 different Butterfly Effect choices directly affect the outcome of the game. These are actually cataloged in a game menu off the title screen for easy reference.Did you watch the entire game? How do you know those choices don't have long-term consequences? As best as I can tell, the game broke street date in Austria and that's why all of the early streamers are German. The twitch streams are in German. *Sigh*
Alright, I'm going to stop posting negative impressions. I'm not using spoiler tags in preview threads. There is always someone clicking/ reading it by accident.
I don't care about the neg opinion. Just lol its bad but won't explain why it is bad.Alright, I'm going to stop posting negative impressions. I'm not using spoiler tags in preview threads. There is always someone clicking/ reading it by accident.
Ah no this is not a spoiler topic. You can post negative impression, i'm intersted in hearing them plus, if someone click on the spoiler tag, his them fault, not yours
Ah no this is not a spoiler topic.
So what, spoiler tag was invented for something
I'm slowly learning German as I watch these streams. However, it doesn't take much to figure out what is going on action wise and through facial expressions. Graphics look great and framerate looks stable.
I almost wish they wouldn't have retained the first person perspective of PS3 version, but I understand the purpose of this new direction.
That is everything he's doing for the past two hours. You don't have dialogue options as far as I can tell.
I'm so excited for Tuesday.
This game could review like garbage and I don't even care haha.
Pretty much. I picked up Beyond despite the poor reviews (even though the game did end up disappointing me LOL). Still, I highly doubt this will review lower than Beyond, so I feel safe. : P
Maaaaan, I'm really dying to hear some impressions from anyone who has the game already. I'LL TAKE ANYTHING!

Just give me info on the framerate.
The camp game?Looking forward to checking this out. On a related note is that Friday The 13th game still due out in October?

Most of the others are incidental or result in the same eventual outcome (see most of the choices in the prologue for examples of these).
A good number of these aren't just A) or B) decisions, however. There will often be a sum of decisions that trigger the eventual Butterfly Effect outcome. That much demoed E3 sequence of Sam (Hayden Panettiere's character) evading the killer in her towel has a variety of choices/decisions looped into it but the end result is only one of two possible outcomes.

Is the mystery well written?RangeroftheNight said:Currently playing through it for review on my site. It's a much better game than I had anticipated it to be. Very hard to put down!
Do you think someone who isn't a fan of horror films would enjoy this?RangeroftheNight said:Very. I mean, it's stereotypical in some areas but that's what they were going for. However, the characters are all really well done in my opinion and the mystery will keep you on your toes.
RangeroftheNight said:Yes. I actually read a lot of comments just yesterday about this game not being scary and all that, but as someone who jumps pretty easily, the game is doing it's job in that department.
As much as the game delves into that kind of material of horror/slasher stuff, it's quite a bit deeper in the narrative department than you might think.
RangeroftheNight said:Just finished it and to be honest, the game is going to last a different length of time for everyone based on your choices I think. The game lasted 7 hours for me and I won't say how many survived/died to save for spoilers, but I can easily see the game lasting longer. Also, it's very much worth it to find things hidden in the environment. Piecing the story together is my favorite part of the game.
RangeroftheNight said:I've seen like one or two pop ins. Aside from that, super smooth experience.

True but still nice to read some impressions. Thanks, but I don't trust reviewers on framerate issues, I hope he's right though.

Not particularly hard to review lower than 70 these days with reviewers getting more harsh, especially towards this kind of game. Wont surprise me though if it reviews higher than The Order (which sits around 63), this game knows what it wants to be at least.Still, I highly doubt this will review lower than Beyond, so I feel safe. : P

Is the "Online interactions not rated" a generic thing put on all game covers, or does this game actually have some form of online?
