They're both one off ads. First one is for a construction company. The other is for a line of schools. They're both directed by Makoto Shinkai.

I remember watching that cellphone/space movie/OVA a long while ago. It's kinda interesting how the studio evolved.
I don't understand this. I don't see any of these webm gifs appearing on the forum. I just see a webm link that opens a new tab with a video file that I have to press play to load.
Am I meant to download something?
He hosts a big budget mini-series on FOX called Cosmos. Check it out. Carl Sagan would be proud.I'm familiar enough with Neil deGrasse Tyson, but why was that played on Fox?
I remade some classic gifs, while trying to keep a good balance between size and quality (peek signal to noise ratio ~40-50db, using -psnr option in ffmpeg)
Let me know if they work, some of them have audio.
Should I hardcode subtitles?
Imgur should consider some limited support for them, similar to gfycat. At least that way it's more likely some of these clips will be around in the future. Right now it reminds me of the time those HD video sites popped up and were exciting before disappearing.

My first attempt at this. Beware of the spoilers if you haven't watched the GoT Season 4 premiere yet.
Can anyone let me know if this is working?

I'm trying to use Dropbox, but for some reason it destroyed the quality of the clip I was using. It's in HD when I play the original webm file in VLC.
enabling webms + imagus/hoverzoom extension in chrome is god-tier

Someone also made a handy graphic about embedding subs into WebMs:

60fps, VP8.How many FPS is this?
Goddamnit, trying to create a WebM, with that 4chan program in the OP, but getting this error:
"Exception not handled in the application. Click on continue to ignore the error and to try and proceed. Click on Exit to stop the application immediately."
"Impossible to find the file "C: [output directory]".
The fuck does that mean? I can post the "Detail" thing, but it's pretty damn long.
Run the program as administrator or try saving to a different location.
You're thinking of Voices of a Distant Star and yeah, it's been hugely evolved. Voices was made almost entire by Shinkai: written, drawnm and animated by himself on an Power Mac G4, voiced by himself and his then-girlfriend-later-wife (originally), music by a friend (Tenmon)...all over the course of seven months. That's a pretty amazing feat in and of itself.
did we break pomf.se?

CDNs active
CDNs have been turned on again, seems like theyre giving some bad download speeds in some area of the world for some reason, use f.oxipry.se/FILENAME to bypass the CDNs if this is the case or wait a few hours or until tomorrow and it should be working just fine again.
