It's not hyperbole, it's not fanboy drivel. It is LITERALLY it for PS3. Sony has nothing left, nothing they can reveal tomorrow would fix the hole now created. There is no reason left for any one, hardcore or casual, to substantively invest in a PS3. Except if they want to play Persona 5. Which will also come to PS4 at some point.

The age of Sony is done.

Financially this is good for Sony but I am not going to pay $60 when I just purchased it 8 months ago for the same price.

I find it annoying how people are beyond excited about this announcement. If MS tried this double dip stunt the Sony Pony's on this site would be blasting them.

It would've been better if there was a remaster of SOCOM.

This Community thing has been on the list, but Sony themselves aren't there. This was brought up in the thread where everyone was freaking out about Nintendo not being there, and it was then discovered that other companies weren't making the trek out.

That seems to be more merch-focused than anything.

I can't see what difference that makes, this 'announcement' is clearly a mess, forced by the store's fuck up, but the announcement was also obviously soon, as they have the banner and product details ready to go for retail, and they have their own PAX hashtag. I'm not sure PAX is a big deal for Sony, like there would be a conference or anything, but presumably that was when this stuff was, and still is, going to come.

To announce this with not even comparison screens is absurd.

30fps might be to match a possible TLOU2 that goes all out on graphics and stays at 30fps. I don't think the PS4 couldn't handle a 60fps TLOU Remaster.
