And yeah, my expectations for this are sky-high after R&C: Into the Nexus. I have faith that they'll deliver something really special.

Nope, that'll be Halo 2: Anniversary (with Halo 5 beta included)
SO seems more of a September/October release. Hopefully it stays away from Destiny. Insomniac can't afford any more flops.

I expect that since MS had to woo Insomniac from Sony (presumably, and perhaps only temporarily), they're giving Insomniac complete control.

Sony really screwed up letting this game get away (if they even knew about it).
I don't consider remakes major releases.
It's even funnier since he didn't like Shadow Fall and wants GG closed.<- that works on many levels obviously.

Hell yes. Finally get more details on this game.
Yup, playing it by yourself was not a super fun experience.
I really loved FUSE, but it needed three things:
1) Better partner AI.
2) Twice as many Echelon mode maps.
3) The original Overstrike art style.

It's an open world third person shooter, with parkour and, judging by the trailer, coop, crazy weapons and mutant hordes.

Would anyone care about this game if it wasn't exclusive? It's the only conclusion I can come up with due to Insomniac's recent record. They literally made one good game last gen and that was almost 7 years ago

Fuse seemed competent but boring and by the numbers for the 5 minutes I tried it, which I'm sure isn't a fair shake, oh well. but I adore all the resistance games (even 2! Love the multiplayer) And have always had fun when I played ratchet&clank games.

Not to mention I'm actually excited to see the reveal of this game and only posted the downgrade thing because Phil Spencer said he believed the game looked better than the CGI reveal.

I think I'm just representing the facts as they appear and not adding something that isn't there to create some drama down the road.
If he had said, "I saw it yesterday, it's looking better than the E3 trailer", then we wouldn't be having this conversation. He clearly lays out that he thinks it looks better, we can't take his personal opinion of what he thinks it looks like and pretend that's an acceptable standard by which to measure the game-play visuals when they are finally revealed.
I think people care about this game because of the promising trailer. Seeing the game in action will determine if that sentiment continues.
