I kind of hate purchasables. I get that they're expensive and such but the game doesn't really seem balanced for them. Like if you encounter a guy with an assault rifle, you are dead every time. Same with most of the purchaseable weapons.

Anybody else having a hard time finding games? Searching is really slow and it's like it gets stuck on certain occasions.

That's the point of all purchaseables.

Best bet is to use armour as it's usually better to run armour.

But that's kind of shitty. Most times when you encounter an enemy you have mostly even chance of taking then out depending on skill. If they have a purchaseable, you are already dead.

I get the downsides to them, I'm just not a big fan of the mechanic.

Well someone has to defend it. There's always a balancing act with Interrogation.

I wonder if it would play better with 5 v 5

No one needs to defend it. Drop some mines and leave it.

If the enemy gets the lockbox opened, you get nothing.
If the enemy doesn't get the lockbox open, but has more phases unlocked, you get nothing.

The only chance of winning is to full rush, spread out, and get to the lockbox as fast as possible.

unless one of their guys sneaks around and gets your lockbox while you're attacking all out.

Is there no way to find each other and have a match between 8 people? (without going into private mode)

What do you mean?

And what about that?

We're losing either way.

What do you mean? You mean in a situation where the enemy has the bar 1/3 or 2/3 full?

Hm, sometimes I run without the purchaseables because I like the sidearm and primary upgrading. Usually I always go for armour first

I like purchaseables. Adds a variety at a high cost. Keep in mind that purchaseables may down you, but you arent always killed by them if you have people running in teams.

Atleast one person should be defending it or your game will end as quick as it started. I'd prefer 2 people if they're randoms. Luckily the respawns arent too far from your box, but that 13 second counter can be brutal

I'd rather it end quicker than to lose.

I've won many games being down on phase 2 and rushing it.

Definitely lost this match. Not really, it bugged out so the other team couldn't win lol.

Maybe if there is like 1 minute left, but otherwise, I'd say that isn't a good strategy.

Does no one get it? You get nothing if you wait around doing nothing.

When you lose, you get no points.

Fuck the bow.
It's an OP weapon that needs a nerf.
2 hit kill while completely quiet? Fuck that.

Honestly idk if I consider it OP. It's really good though and I love using it. If they do anything I'd rather it just cost 4 loadout points instead of 3, rather than making the actual weapon worse.

I assume you're playing with randoms. I agree that you should be predominantly on the offense if you're losing, but If you're actually playing to win and using communication, it is a much better strategy to tell one guy to hang back, hidden, and watch the lockbox while the rest of you push.

It completely knocks off your armor AND leaves you at 25%-30% health with ONE shot. That's completely OP

Just used the bow preset for the first time, holy fuckballs that thing is OP as hell. I'm still relatively new (lvl 2 and never played PS3 MP), and I managed to top the leaderboard. Bow with upgrade and Covert 3 and you can lonewolf while your teammates run around and bait the enemy players.

show some balls, man
I love this game but the match making still sucks and I hate bows. Not that i think they are overpowered, but a bow vs a gun?!

But if 4 guys rush and the other team leaves 3 people to defend their box antecipating that rush, their lone atacker could just get to the unguarded lockbox and win the match anyway.

Leaving bombs is a fine strategy, but there's a good chance the other team will know about it too and will look for them when attacking and may be able to avoid them or trigger them from afar.

If the other team gets lucky, they can hold off the 4 attackers without executing them right away to avoid respawns, giving the lone attacker some precious seconds to try to win the match.

But every round is a round and strategy only goes so far in getting you a win, sometimes the match flow changes a lot and people just try to react.

I see guys using the bow effectively at 2-5m.

I also see guys using it as a silent sniper from 30-40m.

The "reload" speed is ridiculous.

Its completely silent

The entire weapon is OP.

And Naughty Dog won't do a damn thing about it, the forums screamed about it since the ps3 launch.

Thats a classic videogame rule, the bow is always more powerful than gun and is usually a one hit kill. Take any game and the rule applies.

Great post! :)

One thing I wish is for ND to equalize all players of the losing team in sudden death.

As it is now, if you're the absolute last guy, you will get massive bonus of parts, purchasable weapon ammo, health, and all kinds of other things if you can get to a supply box.

But I wonder if that should be offered for all teammates of a losing team in a sudden death mode IF the other team is ahead by a predetermined number of tickets (8?)

As it is now, a team on sudden death gets rushed by the winning team, especially if they have enough tickets at their disposal. That way, the winning team doesn't just steamroll the enemy but still has to use teamwork.

Yeah I'm starting to enjoy MP more and more as I get in to it but the matchmaking is horrendous.

Regarding bows - while I agree they are OP I find that whoever is using it can do fuck all once you start laying in to them with bullets. Throws their aim completely and they either die quickly or run off because they can't get reliable shots off due to the impact of your shots.

No way I'm changing my mind about the bow man. Yes I think it's good but I do far better with the semi, burst, and auto rifle. Those guns are so much easier to use.

Like I said before, if they change anything I'd rather them just bump the loadout cost to 4 instead of 3 to match the damage/loadout cost of the silent hunting rifle.

If they nerfed the damage of the bow to a 3 hit kill no fucking way I'd use it. time-to-kill would be ridiculously slow.

My man
Also I'd like to add that half the time you can see the guy's bow just barely, but not the man himself, and yet he can mow you down no problem.
The whole "tell where the arrow is coming from" excuse makes no sense considering 9 times out of 10 you'll be killed before even finding out where the guy was.

Such bullshit that only people using the bow themselves could defend.

Why the hell would you throw me into a game of interrogation when the enemy already has the lockbox located and we don't have one interrogation?

Uh there's no winning anyone hangs back.

It's 1-3v4 when it's 3 minutes left on interrogation. The other team is going to camp and win.

When I do go lonewolf and play with randoms I'm actually finding Survivor to be the best mode. People value their life by default since you only get one life per round. This makes them more likely to sprint less, play stealthy, and not run around like an idiot.

Anyone else hate the MP side missions? Like why do I have to do certain things to have this number up? I assume once your population hits 0, its game over for your MP run? Im on week 6 or 7 and have like 70+ people, every time I need more parts or food whatever.

I wish I could just play MP and not worry about that shit. I dont want to have to do what it wants me to do in certain days just to "keep up". Am I playing this wrong? Should I stop worrying about this stuff? I think I have to advance in weeks to unlock the other perks. Guess this is one way to remove leveling up.

You can just play MP and not worry about it. You just wont get the trophies that come with completing the journey.
