As a Zelda main since Melee, I'm glad to see that she's been beefed up a bit. I'm also glad to see people not relying on her forward air, like they did in Melee & Brawl. I like what they did with her Farore's Wind. As I said earlier, it's much faster and there seems to be less lag after completion. I'm anxious to try out some of her more advanced teleport techniques from Brawl & Melee. Nayru's Love is a viable alternative to the forward throw, but it doesn't get much attention. The knock back isn't as far, but it can open up opportunities.

So good to see Ness being decent for once. (Though that could change the same way he dropped from top to low tier in Smash 64)

Yeah, he looks great! Mac might be a matchup-specific kind of pocket character I guess?

Yeah, I can definitely see him being a designated counterpick for a lot of players.

I'm really loving this game seeming to have a focus on off stage shenanigans. It also seems like Ness is going to be one of the more used characters early on.

Just tried another For Glory match...

Underwater :(

Game was literally freezing for one or two seconds, then fine, then 10 fps, then freezing...

Is it my internet?

FOW also mains Ness, so not the most unbiased opinion, but at the same time he's been hugely successful with him. He plays online with lots of different characters, but Ness is his trump card.

Well yea, but he's probably a pretty good authority on feeling out the potential of Ness vs his Brawl incarnation.

From what I've heard from various people about Ness

fair - different, potentially better. Has a smaller hitbox, but it's easier to combo into other moves, including several more fairs, and still works as one of his main approach moves

pk1 - bigger/easier to harass with

pk2 - essentially the same. Looks like it has a few piercing frames at the beginning to prevent immediate gimping. landing lag is not as bad as brawl.

dair - nerfed. comes out quicker but the spiking is nowhere near what it was in brawl

bthrow - apparently one of the few throws in the game that has lower percentage KO potential

I lost the post I was going to use to see how far along I was in Xenoblade.
Im on the last boss for agnorithia. How far would you say that is?
Assuming you are where I think you are, 75%. After that fight (boss spoilers, not really huge plot spoilers),
you have to fight the Apocrypha in Central Arsenal, followed by a fight in Mechonis Core, which is roughly where I'd say the 80% mark is
.

About 60-70% through.

I'm finally getting close to the end. I hope I can beat it by the end of this week.
Before hyrule warriors at the latest.

Remember when people were saying that Mac was the worst character in Smash history on Days 1 and 2

It really is interesting how a lot of characters that were deemed "trash" on day 1 & 2 are being discovered as very viable characters, though they generally play a lot differently from what some would expect. Character balance looks to be a lot better in this iteration of Smash from what I've seen so far.

Been playing a lot more of the demo and I'm discovering a bunch of cool things to do with Villager's tree, though I still can't make much use of his grab. I can already consistently 1v1 and FFA level 9s, so there's not much more I can do until I'm playing humans. Can't wait for the demo to be available to the public so I can destroy my friends with Villager.

Also any word on how G&W is this time around? I noticed he still has his shitty fish bowl so I'm worried he won't have any good killing moves again.

I haven't beat the game, but I'm a little farther than you and inclined to believe there's still another phase of the game left after you finish up at Agniratha.
