Now we know why we didnt got a PotD. Its not because of the launch of the 3ds version or the launch of the demo...its because GAF is making Sakurai laugh so hard that he cant upload that Ridley pic...

There could be a more sinister reason for Jr. calling Peach his mum, but uh this is a Nintendo game. Either that or maybe Mario is actually the one doing the kidnapping. Peach wants to give up her life as a princess and move in with Bowser but Mario keeps taking her back to the castle

Well Peach is some kind of mystical being, cause she is the leader of the Mushroom Kingdom and somekind of monarch and all the inhabitants in her kingdom look like mushrooms...and she doesnt...
It's all a setup to make Mario feel better as he's heavily depressed after flunking medical school and becoming a plumber.
Why else do you think Bowser would stand on a retracting bridge with a switch to open it behind him on a ledge?

Mario is not only depressed he is somehow really messed up...he wears the skin of a frog and can swim like a frog. He wears the skin of a racoon...and well can fly (though racoons cant) and turn into a statue...

All coming back to Mario being part of some deranged trip; he eat to many real mushrooms and went into a decade long coma, going into a strange land and seeing his friends and family as the cast of the games.
Whenever he finally wakes up from this 'trip'.....reality will really hit and all those people he met are very different in real life (Luigi being the tough as nails brother, Peach being his former girl-friend, Boswer being his real-life boss that has a on-and-off again friendship with Mario, and Yoshi being his childhood pet, ect).
....But that is just a theory XD!

I don't own a JP 3DS or the game (gotta get a 3DS or Wii U this fall X(), but from what I read up on, he is I think a nice middle-ground between his Melee and Brawl selves. His knee attack is powerful again (I think it being a meteor smash?) at least

Seems about right, but yoshi wasnt his pet but a collegue at work. Mario betrayed him to get to a higher position inside the company...

So what's the character limit on in-game taunts? I need to think of some concise shittalking.
THAT must explain all the times he jumped off of his back just for a extra jump in Mario World/Mario Bros Wii/Mario Bros U! Maybe Yoshi was also his foster parent for a while (considering how he 'saved' him in Yoshi's Island and brought him to his real parents; must have taken a while).
Good reason to main him other than pissing people off that he's in the game and their characters don't.
The hate just makes him stronger.

He didn't have the power knee attack in Brawl? I didn't use him a ton in that, so I guess I missed that; man that sucks X(. At least he is better in Smash 4 now

His knee was shit in Brawl, pretty much all of his moves were shit in that game.

Damn, didn't know he was that de-buffed in Brawl X(. Guess I can see why people didn't like Brawl that much, considering that characters got weaker from there Melee selves (at least that is what I'm getting with your comment).
I know Sonic was really weak in Brawl X(; all his attacks did nothing and him ONLY having the Spin Dash and Homing Attack as his specials was really dumb (I would think either his elemental shield abilities or his Sonic Adventure 1 & 2/Sonic Battle abilities like the Ring Toss or the Bounce Attack would be better side specials then the Spin Attack again...). Then again, he WAS added in the game last minute, so him being weak is sorta understandable.

He did but it was pretty bad compared to Melee. Harder to land a clean hit and lower knockback for example.
