Son of a bitch. The dumb novelty USB (shaped like a Christmas light) I was gonna test music with doesn't fit in the PS4 slots. Truly my day has been sour.

Talking of USB's is there not an official USB hub for the PS4 yet? Having two USB's this gen is a bit irritating as I'm constantly switching to charge my controller, headset and Bluetooth connector for my headset.

Works great for me, took a while for my friends list to download (assuming it's because of the traffic that PSN is currently experiencing).

Something tells me they've changed their infrastructure around a bit since the hack. Call it a hunch..

I know they have. I noticed a huge boost in download speeds after that. But you'd assume they changed it for better, not worse. They really need to introduce some improvements and I don't even want to compare to XBL as I'm not interested in that service. I just want to pay and play my games when I have time, not when it happens to work.

Some nice improvements. I think they could've done more though to help with organization. Even simple things like not including demos in your library, and separating out video apps as self contained apps instead of all stuck in the tv & video app would've made me happy. And they really need to improve the what's new section.

There's a Destiny theme coming? I look forward to that. Also, how is there still not a real Twitch app? Sony pls.

Yup, and they should have added some USBs on the back. The only fix is a USB extention lead

Put my PS4 into Rest Mode and the orange light just kept pulsing for about half an hour. It wasn't downloading anything, so this was weird. I tried to turn the PS4 on but the controller just turned on and the console did nothing. I pressed the power button on the console and that did nothing either. Excellent.

Had to hard reset it and got a warning about turning it off while the light was flashing. WELL MAYBE IF YOU FUCKING WORKED.

Damn, the UI really is faster. I didn't think that was possible seeing as mine was damn near instant to do anything, but now, the store loads the moment I press the X button. As does everything else. Impressive.

That happens to me fairly regularly. I'm not quite sure why either, I'll probably look up the cause soon because it is a bit annoying.

Got it. I apologize for my abrasiveness, it's just the "unless they're really THAT stupid" (or similar) comments that gets on my nerves around these parts.
But yes, the downtimes and overall sluggishness is starting to annoy me as well. Here's hoping they improve the infrastructure further, and soon.

I noticed if you go into Settings I had to manually tick the box for enabling internet connection in Rest Mode. For whatever reason it was disbanded by default, even though everything was set up correctly pre update.

I think it's because PSN is acting. When you log out (like rest mode), it's trying to upload your saves. Maybe it doesn't have a timeout on that.

Same. They've already built the apps for TV, just let people use them where they want. I have my library all saved in Play Music.
