Went to the bathroom, found this in the kitchen:

So you can't use your Amiibos online with friends?

Not the biggest deal (unless I am dumb and couldn't figure it out), but playing on a team with my favorite Amiibo against my friend and their favorite amiibo would have been really cool.

This is my biggest gripe. I loved testing my character builds against other people in DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 so I was hoping to do the same with Amiibos.

It's cool seeing all these amiibo displays. I wonder how they'll be handled in the UK. Nintendo shelf space is so limited over here, it's hard to imagine them being such a big sell in our supermarkets, for example. I'm not even sure if our Games will sacrifice the Disney Infinite/Skylanders space for them.

I'm gonna need to get up close and personal with a Samus before committing to a purchase in order to avoid dat lean though.

I grabbed Kirby, link and yoshi. No Martha, villagers or Wii trainer to be had.

Oh god that old skylander itch is coming back. That itch set me back hundreds :(

Target and TRU had tons of each character, I grabbed Yoshi, Link, Marth, Mario, Peach, Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer.

How much does an amiibo cost around the world? Here in Norway one costs around $22 :(

Canada $13.99, which is equivalent to US$12.46, so almost the cheapest except I think Japan gets them for only 1200 yen, which is equivalent to US$10.18 though, sigh.

How easy do you think it would be to find a Link that isn't facing the ground/with a bent sword/otherwise broken in some way? That and Samus are the only two I'm currently interested in getting for this wave.

Did you guys dig through the ones on display to find the best one or did you just grab the first one that didn't look horribly misshapen?

My Samus was leaning to one side, and the Mario I ordered has a pretty big air blister on the fireball.

I would definitely go to a store and look them over if I had it to do over again.

Deep philosophical question of the day: Is Mario left-handed, or is it just because he's making a fist with his right hand that he's got the fireball in his left?

After thinking I would only pick up one Amiibo for launch today, I picked up 4.

Wii Fit Trainer (wanted this one the most)
Marth
Villager
Yoshi

Gotta get Fox and Samus next

The only one I ordered was Link, should arrive sometime next week. Kinda regret not also grabbing Samus, but oh well.

Just happened to be at the store (forced to shop with gf) and I found these at least. All they had, hopefully I will run into more sometime.

Got back from trading in a game at Best Buy. Looked at the amiibo section and mario was sold out. Fox, peach, yoshi, kirby, samus, and donkey kong were plentiful..No signs of the limited 3. For some reason, Link and pikachu was behind the customer service counter..I just grabbed a fox for now :)

Didn't want to ruin the cardboard/art since I like it so much. I can easily put them back in when I want, too!

The main gaming hubs like Toys R Us, Gamestop, Best Buy, etc. seem to be low on Amiibos around where I live (central Indiana currently). Big box stores like Walmart and Target seem to be full.

That damn gamecube controller adapter though...I swear I just bought the last one in Indiana after 2 1/2 hours of searching. Even got told by a Gamestop an hour away they would hold one for me only to get there and they sold it.

I found one in a dark corner of a Fry's electronics. I approached it at the same time as another guy. We stared at each other. Fortunately I had purchased a Villager Amiibo earlier. He could tell. He walked the other way.

The Fry's at 96th Street? I hate that location so much. The employees seem to be worthless every time I go in.

I told myself they were stupid. That I'm too old to be buying things like this. That I don't need them. Waste of money I said......
Today I got Link, Marth, and Wii trainer when I picked up smash bros, the adaptor, and the GameCube controller. And I just ordered the Villager from Amazon. 😳

I love toys.

No, Marth is available at all stores. Apparently he will be hard to get, though. Maybe just not as many shipped as the others.

today I ordered marth, villager, and wii fit trainer from toysrus's website -- for $10 each (the 3 for $30 thing) free shipsies.

it appears they're still in stock. if anyone can't find these locally, well, go to tru's website.

Is Marth only exclusive to Gamestop? Amiibos won't go out of print will they?

No retailer exclusives until wave 3, I think. Seem like retailers and branches didn't bother stocking Marth, WFT, and Villager or they only had enough to fulfill pre-orders depending on the region.

I was at Best Buy today and their Amiibo display was full but they had everything except Villager , Wii Fit Trainer and Marth. That's why I was wondering. They didn't have any empty hooks there.

There's a part of the bottom of the packaging that's perforated. Stick a knife in, slide it across the perforation, then peel the bottom open. The cardboard will be completely unaffected.
