Final Fantasy XV Jump Festa 2015 Trailer

The only real time shot I remember was that camera moving all crazy around Insomnia during the 2011 trailer (during the night and never showing the full city like this).

I hope I'm wrong and they blow me away again (I certainly did not expect cities to be like they showed in this trailer). But I don't know, it seems pretty hard...

Also, I think they meant not everything is destructible in gameplay, not set pieces. But yeah, scraping off one of the most beautiful cities like this for a set piece seems like a waste, I hope only a part of it is destroyed, I really want to walk around Accordo.

They have a pretty nice draw distance, so hopefully get one or two lovely in-game pans of the entire city in a cutscene. FFXV looks really good, so it would be a shame if not, though, this is FF so it should be expected of.

Yeah. I hope they don't worry about that kind of minute detail and just keep that strictly story.

Indeed, if they fix the pop in the game will have a very nice draw distance.

Let's see. My expectations are still lying mostly on the stuff we've seen (big boss fights, world map, chocobos), so I guess they can still blow me away with the new stuff.

And it's not like FF had skimpy, impractical designs for female characters before.

So fitting for a queen.

(I love Rosa's design, but still)
Oh it doesn't get skimpier or more impractical than this.

And she still looks badass.

Don't forget larger towns/cities! :p I was expecting smaller than what we saw of Restalm, but was pleasantly surprised.

She wasn't a queen when she wore that though, just a White Mage working for Baron.

She changed into this when she became queen...

(I like both designs BTW.)

Fair enough.

It's the kneepads (with jewels) over the leggings that bug me the most on the other design. They look so dumb.

Odd thing, I never had a problem with old fantasy/JRPGs use of female characters in leotards, similar to why I never felt bad about guys like He-Man in furry underwear, and I've never felt any sexual feelings(or thought of either as being sexual) before, and still don't. Hell, I'm not afraid to say this, give me a good action-RPG set in a classic swords & sorcery styled Western fantasy world with a hero that looks like Ax Battler(bulge and all), and I'd play the fuck out of it. Even more so if the soundtrack was a mix between medieval progressive rock and Dio-styled medieval metal:

It just occurred to me that considering people have choice things to say about fashion from eg the 70s or 90s the fact that the clothing design for especially Noct&co. inspires pretty similar uncanny valley derision means they hit the mark re: fantasy based on reality.

just kidding on the "just occurred to me" part all I wanted was to be part of this stale extremely fresh and engaging discussion

That's pre rendered. ;)

I'm talking about in game of course. But I agree, I think Accordo , and hopefully some of the other big cities, are going to look absolutely amazing in game. I hope it can match Agni's level.

Maybe that shot is, but the XV announcement trailer (aka the E3 2013 vs XIII trailer) had a shot like that which looked extremely similar but had jaggies throughout, looked nearly as impressive as that shot.

Wan Hazmer seems like a really cool, likeable cat! I'm happy for him. Working on a main-line FF has always been one of my dreams, too.
What are you waiting for, make an account, Wan! :)

He might already be amongst us. It's time to keep a look out for the Malaysians who hang out in XV threads:p

Hello Wan Hazmer, if you are reading this message, please let Square Enix know the fans desire:

1) Dual audio in the final game.

2) Stella, ideally looking like she was during Versus XIII moments.

3) Fully controllable airship.

4) Cool alternative outfits (badass medieval armor would be great) for party members.

5) Interesting world map design (plenty of hidden dungeons, treasure chests, maze, etc)

6) Switching party leader if it is possible, people will really appreciate it, if not, never mind.

Cheers, and good luck on making this ambitious game. :D

Cidney is awesome just the way she is, no need to wrap her up in blankets, her design is going to stay just as it is, and I for one will enjoy it (don't take this to the cleavage though, I like the whole design lol)

Thank you for saying this, really, thank you.

What is so wrong with having a character wearing revealing clothing, its not like she is uncomfortable with it.

So tired of hearing the same old people saying, "its not practical and it doesn't add to her character."

I agree with most of your points, but please, don't speak for me.

Also, I'm pretty sure Wan is aware of these points.

Yeah, just thought I had nothing to lose for bringing up these.

The part where you asked about costumes is gonna give them the idea for 20000000 DLC costumes and no in game ones, you doomed us all
/s

It's gonna happen either way, wish they would include costumes like Vesperia did.

Points 1, 2, 3, 5 definitely.

Would also like to add improving the English localization to FFXII's level of excellence (Alex O' Smith?) and retaining the Japanese names such as Cidney as opposed to pointless name change Cindy.

The recent trailer lacked the Shakespearian wording we've seen in previous trailers which was a massive shame.

I'd rather they do a thousand DLC costumes than do one actually important DLC...

1) Dual audio in the final game.
Kind of redundant to ask this considering they've already said they will try to. I think it will mostly come down to if they can fit it on the disc and/or if they can realistically offer it as DLC (if the DLC would be, like, 20GB in size, I doubt they'd offer it, for free, at least)

4) Cool alternative outfits (badass medieval armor would be great) for party members.
Stuff like this will, unfortunately, probably be DLC. I just hope they'll put on a bit more clothes if there are colder environments in the game. Nothing stupider than people running around in blizzards clad in t-shirt & shorts. -_-

5) Interesting world map design (plenty of hidden dungeons, treasure chests, maze, etc)
They've already confirmed this ages ago and re-confirmed it after TGS. There will be optional dungeons, the demo too. They've even said that some dungeons might take DAYS (in-game) to complete (so 2-3+ hours IRL), so there will probably be some more maze-like dungeons to get lost in as well.

6) Switching party leader if it is possible, people will really appreciate it, if not, never mind.
They already made the big decision to make Noctis the sole (directly) controllable character and have been building the game around it ever since then. The multiple characters dream is dead, they aren't going to change that this late in development.

Wasn't that talked about during the time that a day lasted 30mins in game? They only changed that recently to one hour.

Anyway, I hope the dungeons are more complex than Type-0. As much as I like that game, the dungeons are pretty simple =X

I don't know what this is supposed to mean.

In my opinion it looks stupid and I don't like it BUT I accept it in the context of the game.

Nah, they said the multiple days dungeons thing at the Malaysian event yesterday. And IIRC the day has lasted 60 minutes for as long as they've been more open about FFXV since TGS, the 30 minute thing sounds like something that they had in the past but which has changed into 60 minutes at some point and has been so for at least the last few months, though not completely locked and they might still change it a bit to either way if they feel that's better for game balance.

FFXV isn't on PSP...

... Watch there be a PSP spinoff game. D:
Well... I don't think PSP limitations were the reason for the simplicity of the dungeons =P

You can make a puzzle or just an interesting dungeon while having the gameplay of Type-0.

Oh, they said that again in the Malaysian event? I actually had a little trouble understanding Wan =X

To be entirely fair, Noctis and his crew don't speak like that most of the time in the Japanese version either. I get what you mean though - the dialogue in the E3 2013 trailer was wonderful. The one thing that bugs me the most about the FFXV localization are those accents given to characters who don't have one in the original version (Cindy, Ignis).

I still think it would be cool to have all characters have British accents for once.
