New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Edition for Europe

I assume there'll be no difference in the retail release so what's the SD card size in the new 3DS, regular if it makes a difference.

Never transferred anything using a Nintendo product either, is the process quick? Hopefully retailers allow an amount of time so I can trade in.

It actually takes a bit of time to do the transfer, about half an hour or so iirc.

Before the transfer, I did copy my old SD card to a new MicroSD+adapter card, so that when I finally got my New 3DS, I could just swap the cards after the system transfer.

I finally got a prepaid return shipping label from Nintendo France. But they have not told me if I should send the whole box and accessories, or only the console.

In your case, did you sent back everything ?

I just sent the console, and they sent me everything again, with a return label to send back the excess stuff.

Yes, really. I'd check with them over the phone.

4GB microSD for all of them.

If you want a quick transfer in-store, buy/have another microSD in your old 3DS with all your data on it already. That way you only need to transfer the licenses and can select "no" when it asks if you are using an SD card. After that you just switch out the N3DS microSD with the microSD you have in your old 3DS, skipping the need to wireless transfer the data.

Just for closure, Nintendo just answered my email saying that they're truly sorry that I didn't qualify for the Nintendo Ambassador promotion but that it's over already and I could buy a NN3DS on February.

Gotta love when CSRs don't read your emails :( I'm happy I consider this matter solved or I would be really mad.

Ordered January 9th never had any news from the delivery man, personal mobile number asked 3 times by Nintendo Fr Webmaster.

Almost a month wait now and New Nintendo 3DS is out in 10 days, yeah Ambassador \o/

I'm starting to be a little bit angry... seriously why don't they even answer my emails? Nintendo site web master (who asked me for my mobile number so the delivery man could call me), Customer Service (via website form)... no one seem to care :'(

Why aren't you calling them is the more important question. Why haven't you called them two weeks ago? Not email, CALL THEM!
 
Because I'm at work and it's easy for me to go on NeoGAF calling is less easy... plus I have bad experiences calling Customer Services : waiting 10-15 minutes for a vague answer like "we're going to search for more info and call you back"...

I'll quickly go outside and call. It's clearly my last chance to have an answer. I'll give GAF an update.

Anyone that bought the Ambassador 3DS from the UK store can also get the MM Skull Kid figure if they buy the Zelda MM game from the UK store. If they buy the game from elsewhere they can register the game on Club Nintendo to qualify, pretty sweet.

Just ordered the Majora's Mask ltd from the nintendo store as they emailed me about this
I REALLY wanted the skull kid figure, so I'm VERY happy right now :)

I've called them. They gave me the package number so I can see with the delivery company... unfortunately delivery company don't deliver on Saturdays and they never called when trying to deliver me this week (too bad since my wife was at home)...

Now I'll have to find a day I'm available to call them back and ask for a new delivery...

At least they have the package.

I'll post only when I'll have the system to thank you all for the help and to end this with a good note.

just to inform you: on Yesterday I received from nintendo an email asking personal data (name, last name address and so on) in order for them to send a certificate that states we are top fan of New Nintendo 3ds... They should send them to everyone who bought an Ambassador New Nintendo 3ds... Send me a Zelda's majora mask statue instead :)

Man, I hope I get one of these too (no email yet). Not really valuable or anything but it's something small and nice and definitely appreciated. Really happy with the nice treatment we've been getting from Nintendo over this stuff. It's cool.

Forget that. They already have that data (I really doubt they didn't keep any record of the sale). They don't really need it again. ;)

that's what I was thinking. They already know who bought those machines. Perhaps some Nintendo UK trainee lost all the data?

Infact, it does not make any sense at all. In addition they specify to reply with these data using the same email you put when placing the order... But, it's the same mail you, Nintendo, used now to contact me about this certificate :D

Just received my ambassador edition from an eBay seller. Was the box for the charging cradle a bit banged up for everyone? Oddly enough the boxes/packaging for everything else were in great condition.

No it was not damaged in any case. I think the previous owner did that by mistake.

I can now say with confidence that my New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador has arrived (at my work's place since I can't receive it during day). Women at the reception took the package for me so tomorrow morning it will finally be in my own hands !!!

:\ Aww.. The seller claims it was like that when he got it. He even showed me a picture of his personal set's charging cradle box which had similar issues. Ah well, I guess I don't mind as long as the actual 3DS is fine.

Anyone got any experiences how long it takes for Nintendo to replace hardware?

Didn't their repair facility in Germany experience a pretty bad fire not too long ago? That might be holding it up
