Bloodborne launch trailer

Just played Demon's Souls a couple of hours some years ago and enjoyed it thus far. I already knew at the time about it's difficulty and therefore I treated the game completely different right from the beginning. Didn't regret it.
Anyway, somehow I lost focus on it and never played Dark Souls 1/2 and now I'm hyped as fuck for Bloodborne and for sure will jump in when it get's released in a couple of days!

Is... is that a cannon arm...? Please say it's true!

Probably took them longer to write that than the hour span experienced.

edit: Does this mean the review embargo is not up today?

Embargo today was for the event journalists attended in Japan if I'm not mistaken.

Review embargo for Bloodborne is the 23rd - day before release.

Not confirmed, from what I can tell. I asked in the spoiler forums, and that was the answer I got. Sounds like day before embargo was in place for the three predecessors, if I'm not mistaken.

I remember Tanzen (Antonio Fucito) saying it would be this week. He is from the press IIRC

Gonna take the day off on the 27th to play all weekend...25-26th is gonna be a pain though...only like 5 hours to play in the evening and then work...expecting that I'll stay up longer than usual and get very little sleep..

EDIT:
you may go to one map and it'll be in the evening and then if you go again it could be nighttime. The enemies in those locations and their placements will change depending on the time of day.

Oh, this is great news. It'll definitely change the experience (read: nightmare) a bit, especially considering NG+ is likely to alter placements or add even more enemies. Thanks for the translation!

- Yamigiwa says that since completing the game the team has now able to play it. He says that they kinda feel like kids going back and forth asking one another if they went to this area and how did they beat this boss.

- The world for the most part is seamless. The one exception is the Hunters Refuge where you select specifically where you want to go.

- He says that there's no actual day/night cycle, but you may go to one map and it'll be in the evening and then if you go again it could be nighttime. The enemies in those locations and their placements will change depending on the time of day. But it won't change in real time.

- They've shown a lot of the cathedral area, but Yarnham is a vast place with many different areas. He says that there's a huge variety in the locations.

- As far as forming the Chalice Dungeons go, there are various types of Chalice's in the game. The one type they've shown off is the Tumell (?) Chalice, but he says that you may find a Tumell Chalice 2 or 3. There are also other Chalice's in the game. They all dictate different things. A different part of the dungeon, different enemy sets, different difficulties etc.

- You don't have any direct control over the creation of the dungeon itself. But depending on the chalice that you use along with the ingredients that you use to create it, you can get it to lean in a certain direction.

- They ask him if the New Game+ is back. He says that it is and you can go through it a second, third, fourth etc. time around. They ask if the difficulty increases and he laughs and says "Of course".

- They ask if the team feels the pressure from how highly anticipated it is. He says yes, but if they think about it too much they won't be able to get anywhere. His goal as a producer was just to allow From to make the type of game that they always make. It's not one targeted toward western or Japanese gamers, but to gamers in general. Since that comes through in the final product, they aren't worried.

This attitude is incredibly amazing.

It's monday 23th, confirmed.
And reading a preview, it looks like the game will have a complete localization for each country, dubbing included

Wait a minute, so if I'm currently living in Spain but I want to play the game in english I'm screwed? Going digital then.

Since fantomena is banned, he asked me to post this:

If I received my info correctly, review embargo doesn't lfit this week and not the day many of you think either. Reason is due to The Order.

I call BS on this. Unlike Order, the hype here has been justified by positivity in the press. Reviews most likely are delayed by some critical component which only functions online.

Many can and should learn from him.

That doesn't make any sense. Someone broke the embargo, now Sony is going to push the embargo date back for a game that's highly anticipated. What exactly is that going to accomplish? And what exactly is stopping anyone from breaking that embargo?

My first thought, too. He says that's all the info he has, but it only makes sense if Sony is delaying the delivery of review copies in addition to delaying the embargo date.

But doesn't the embargo date come with the review copy? We know that IGN already knows the date, which would suggest they have their copy. Given how positive the previews are that were just released, there's also no reason for them to be concerned about it reviewing like The Order as it never really received anything other than lukewarm at best previews.
