Ultra Street Fighter IV on PS4 is much, much better now. Bless.

Yours doesn't say this either?
I didn't even get an update prompt, gotta search manually.
It's just weird that this "1.01 patch" added "1.05 content".
I think it simply means that patch 1.01 for PS4 contains all the additions and changes found in patch 1.05 for PS3, ie the Omega Edition stuff, hence "1.05 content".
That's gotta be it.

isn't 1.05 the "omega" thing update for the game proper, not the ps4 port?
maybe the ps4's 1.0, or 1.01 didn't have this update already?

I don't know. I'm just thinking out loud

I have the US version which came with a patch and honestly I don't have the issues being talked about here. I'm using a DS4 btw.

I can stream the game if anybody wants to point out any issues I'm not seeing.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, too. Sounds like it makes sense to me. I can see how it can be confusing, though...

Online is garbage. Played 7 matches and only like one ran without lag, or atleast not as much as in the other 6.
Atleast the game let me know i'm no SF guy. Kinda regret buying this.

Yeah there's no patch out on UK psn for the game so ukers are running 1.00 and I'm having no issues, I posted a YouTube vid a page or so back that shows that

Your video shows the slow menus clearly.

Here's your PS4 video vs. the game on PS3.

It's like it's going at half speed

Do you use wire or wireless? If there has been anything good with this game its the netcode.

Well I haven't played the PS3 ultra game so couldnt directly compare it, but the menus didn't feel slow for me especially when I held the analogue in any given direction as it cycled through the characters quickly.
But there's was no input lag at all during any fights I've had I would notice that immediately.

Also I was cycling through the characters slowly at the start of the character select screen I sped up when I went to a lower row, I went through the third row really quick

This has been an... Interesting read to say the least. Wolfkrone saying there's no problems at all along with others playing with pads make me think that the lab zero drivers implementation is causing the problem. I remember markman mentioning that he was running tests with it prior to release (I believe it was in the GAF thread about ps3 sticks), could be what he was referring to (which also means they were aware with the issue before release)

Well, it's not like it's unacceptably unresponsive, but all the animations and transitions have been slowed way down which makes the whole thing seem sluggish. So, while you can move your cursor from one character to the next quick enough, their character portrait comes in from the side much slower than it should. When scrolling fast, there's no animation and the portrait just appears, which makes it seem ok.

Well if I've got the slow menu I didn't really know then, as it seemed to be a normal speed for menus in general. I guess I was going off some of the rather hyperbole impressions that the menus were going painfully slow or lagging so you couldn't accurately pick what you wanted when I could.

Doesn't explain why Injustice runs almost perfect for me. Oh well, maybe it'll go better later or if i change some settings.
When you say "runs almost perfect", what do you mean because Injustice netcode is ass.

Compared to how it should be, the menus in this port are painfully slow.

I'd be interested in a proper lag test with the 360 version, and also when using a native PS4 stick vs DS4 vs PS3 stick.

I've seen videos of all the weird glitches and shit offline, but has it been confirmed that there's input delay? I can't really feel shit. I was hitting Evil Ryu combos without much issue.

Online felt like a fucking mess though, although that could be because I was playing against some wireless folk.

I've seen some claim that there's still input delay offline (around 2 frames) and I've seen others claim that the delay is due to Lab Zero's driver and is present when using certain PS3 sticks (which I'm experiencing).
Don't think any definitive testing has been done yet.

Damn. Nearly bought it last night but figured I'd just wait for the weekend when there's time to play it. Guess not... unless there's a significant patch?

should probably play more MKX anyway

EDIT: That E.Ryu FADC glitch is messed up! Salty port studio implementing GLITCH nerfs!?

So I just checked for an update (not that 1.01 seems to do anything) and got nothing, still 1.00. Europe btw.

um. maybe it was a design choice ? i mean i wouldnt even notice it at all. and i wouldnt even call it lag or slow menus.

this is something i really dont care about at all. my problem would be if the core game is broken. like that shadow / almost invisible sonic boom. then yeah we have a problem.

with that being said, i hope they fix all the bugs soon. and i am sure they will :)

Other than the menus the game ran fine for me. That being said, the ps4 is more powerful than any console this game has been in yet. Fuckinng useeee the hardware better.

Game seems to run fine, but I haven't found any glitches yet on my own aside from the ones people have posted.

30 FPS looking menus are certainly very annoying off the bat. They remind me of web browser mobile games.

It worked better than SF4 right now. Of course there were laggy matches, that can't be helped, but i had a better experience with Injustice. Never got the complaints about the Netcode lol

I'll just try Ultra again later. Might run better then.

You have a magical copy or I feel really bad for the dude you're facing because they are getting all lag.

Well it was an old Wizard giving the game to me...

My PS4 just crashed after I tried to look up the trophies with the game running in the background :-(

I feel bad for everyone getting yelled at for this (Sony\OO) right now. People are probably going to lose jobs over it.

No reason for this to be an inferior version. :-\

Performance is dependant on location.

However with SF4 it's quite possible that you experience no lag while your opponent is swimming in muck so

Is it really beyond repair? I mean, if the goal is to at least have parity with the 360, we have a lot of work that needs to be done. Just imagine if that Evil Ryu moment happened in a tournament. There is no telling how many screwy things they have going on in here.

No. Saying it is beyond repair is some bullshit hyperbole.
