E3 2015 Reaction vids/gifs

This is just laughable. Jeff wasn't cynical at all for example in the SFV video they put up.

I only ever listen to the Bombcast, so I can't comment on any of the video content-- which, admittedly, is the majority of the site. I did mention that there are many good reasons to keep up with GB, and I do believe that, but my experience with Jeff has been that if he speaks up about a game on the Bombcast, it will be to either dismiss it or shit all over it.

Mind you, I would love it if this weren't the case. Recently he had positive things to say about Splatoon on the show, and I listened to that part a few times-- not because I have any particular affinity for Splatoon, but because it was so refreshing to hear him say something positive about a video game.

Haha. Perfect.

That woman didn't even know what was going on. In the end she was joining in but her expression was like "wtf". She was reacting more to the guys reaction than the actual announcement.

I don't know why but the majority of women in gaming are almost like "token equal opportunities" that have no interest at all. Yes I appreciate I can't generalise, but I've noticed some gaming sites tend to put attractive women to attract lonely geeks.

Really fake reaction from her. No clue who she is though.

Elyse knew exactly what was going on. Unlike the rest of them, she was trying to do her job lol. She was taking down all the names and info of the games shown. Called "being the member of the team that gets shit done" lol. She does more for gametrailers and their shows than people who don't watch their content would ever know. She has more "street cred" or w/e you want to call it than 99% of the other chicks you see imo. btw she started tearing up when huber was crying about shenmue so yeah "fake" lol.

Watch her on stuff like GT time, mandatory update, and more and realize how wrong you are.

It was an announcement for a kickstarter for a video game. I watched my daughter being born and had more composure than that. Ha

Even if you're not a fan of the game there's nothing wrong with feeling joy at someone's intense passion over something. I get that same enjoyment seeing my niece freak out over a Christmas present or NASA going bananas over a completed mission. I don't get your professionalism argument.

Did the Giant Bomb guys have any good reactions? Was Jeff's oppressive negativity get broken for but a moment?

I like watching the GB guys reacsion videos to the conferences but I dunno about Sony's one. It was so hype, big announcements I've wanted for so long and I know most of them don't give any kind of fucks about it. Maybe Austin because he seems like a cool dude with zest. At best I imagine they are "oh yeah, right, of course. mmhmm" With Brad being all "wait what? What? What was that I was sleeping"

Depends on the situation. In your first example, you are speaking about a small child. In the second, it's people that are truly achieving something monumental. This was a kickstarter to a videogame. Just seemed goofy to me.

Did anyone notice, right after they showed the Last Guardian trailer, they panned to the crowd, and there was someone wiping away a tear from his eyes!

I dont blame him though, i had major chills and could feel the tears swelling up, but of course, I had more self control :p

"What are you doing!? You maniacs!!!"

I loved that he said ''That looks exactly like Midgar!! What are you doing?!''.

Seriously, this art direction is so right for this game. Even back in the day with these ''colorful'' primitive graphics, Midgar was supposed to be a shithole. A world constantly at night with a sense of desperation. That looks exactly like it.

I don't have a lot of fate towards Square but please, keep the same story, dialogue and design decisions. Don't play around with anything. Just re-do the visuals and presentation. That's it. Give even an option to have no voices, just text.

With some games being about corporate greed and everyone's outlook being cynical and fake(PR ), it was a breath of fresh air for gaming to see people's wishes actually granted.

...And for their to be such a strong reaction from Huber is the realest thing I've seen from a gaming commentator in a long time.
Gaming is looking hopeful again and the passion and love has been restored.

Embrace the fun and let all those worries and cynicism go (at least for now) .

I'll take "Huber Hype" over Gaming PR/journalism any day!

The fuck is this? Not only is this a hugely unfair generalisation, but it's blatantly false. Elyse works with Huber, of course she would know how important Shenmue is to him, and the gaming community as a whole.

giant bomb just seemed bored outside of horizon. it's like they have been gaming journalist for so long there's no excitement, only cynical reaction.

Will drop pants for Sony.
No. You can be enthusiastic, but jumping around like a bunch of dorks over a kickstarter is not gonna make me take you seriously. That's just my opinion.
No fun allowed I suppose.

Anyways Kyle Bosman jumping on the chair is exactly how j felt.

Giant Bomb's post-conference discussion is a little ridiculous. They've never sounded more out of touch. Brad seems especially determined to find reasons to shit on it.

I agree. I got excited for the Shenmue 3 announcement and FF VII Remake, but I wasn't screaming, jumping, or running around like they were. I usually find those kinds of reactions very annoying, but I'm in the minority I guess.

Yeeeeah, Huber and Bosman aren't really the kind of guys who would care if you don't take them seriously.

I had a guy just find me on Twitter to tell me how lame I am because of my post. So I guess we are? (At least in this thread)

Oh so the GB guys really were just down/unimpressed with everything? I was making a joke. That's really sucky. Like, these may not be what they want but even they must admit how huge those 3 Sony announcements were? I guess I'll just keep to watching them for the boring stuff like EA and Ubi or the middling stuff and go to GT and Super Best Friends to see people who get passionate about games.

Yea that's cool if you find it goofy. I guess what I'm saying is whether it's a tiny thing like a Christmas present or a huge deal with NASA, people are passionate about things that we don't all understand. The point is I think it's ok that professionalism goes out the window for a moment someone is so passionate about. I'm glad for them regardless.

Huber has been asking for Shenmue for like the last 5 conferences...so his hype of it randomly showing up makes sense.

and that is great to see.

The moment you lose that enthusiasm for games (or anything) is when you should get out.

This is what it is all about.

fucking lol

This isn't what the OP asked. But, it will never stop being funny. Ever.

There were a lot of games in this E3 I am genuinely excited for. Honestly, this might be one of the best E3's in recent memory. Just found the reaction to be a bit much. That's all.

I think these reaction vids clearly show that this isn't some little game.... I just don't think they fully grasped how important and big this game/remake is for so many people. This is fucking huge

Just because the guys at Giant Bomb aren't hopping on their seats over every little game doesn't make them "killjoys".

Well, I don't mean to put any GB fans on the defensive, either, so my apologies if I did. They work hard to produce a lot of content every week. I'm looking for something out of them that they're not trying to provide anymore, which is fine; I'm just glad I can find that brand of enthusiasm somewhere.
