Batman AK PC Perf Thread of DARKNESS, NO SETTINGS [30fps cap / intro removal in OP]

It's not letting me turn on interactive smoke/fog and interactive paper debris. The options are just greyed out. My 980 should be able to handle it.
Update to the latest drivers.

With a 980Ti and max settings at 1440P I am getting anywhere from 40(absolute lowest) to the high 70s while flying around. We'll see what the fog does. Perfectly playable with gsync although as with anything you'd hope it'd be a bit higher. Seems pretty inconsistent.

OF COURSE the port is a shit show.

I haven´t pre-ordered a game in probably 6-7 years, but hey, the nuveem deal was good. And of course the first time i do that, WB decides to fuck it all up. Not paying more than 4$ for their games in steam sales from now on. Fuck em.

Did people figure out why 2 of the graphics options are disabled? Is it driver related?

Ran the benchmark at 4K:

Titan X SLI Disabled:

Min: 34
Max: 60
Avg: 45

Titan X SLI Enabled:

Min: 39
Max:60
Avg: 51

:/

Gonna try a driver reinstall.

I believe the fog and debris options are only enabled with the latest nvidia driver

Welp. My game was unpacking then halfway through I got a disk write error. Now I have to download the full game again... I really should have just gotten the PS4 version.

Game doesn't seem to be supporting sli currently.

Also, where should my install directory be at?

Anyone know what AA option they're using? Disappointed that there isn't TXAA like in Origins, whatever the one option they do have is horrible. Aliasing everywhere.

So are there supposed to be no wet pavement reflections in the Chinatown scene in the benchmark tool?

Running a 2GB GTX770 / i5 4670k, I set level of detail to high, normal textures(capped) / shadows.

this unpacking is a fucking joke.

what was the point of a preload? it took me around 40 minutes to download the entire game, and we're coming up on 40 minutes and this shit hasn't even unpacked yet

Man everyone in here is a bunch of babies... Look, every game released now is going to have problems the day of launch. If you can't troubleshoot or can't deal with having a few issues here or there, you should probably just wait until about a week from now and a few patches will be out and all these little problems will be fixed.

Yeah, mine unpacked quicky. I know the benchmark means shit but the first time I ran it I had windows pop up about low memory while having around 6GB free before starting the game and during the benchmark. Game will also use whatever VRAM it can it seems and yeah, capped at around 3.5GB because you know, 4GB advertised card with only 3.5GB really usable for games. That first try was useless so I started it again after running the NVIDIA "optimizer", and disabled the smoke/fog bullshit that I didn't like in the first place and dropped shadows to normal and turned V-sync off. Might put shadows up after playing around a bit.

Anyway, from that as much as it doesn't matter since there's a disconnect between the benchmark and in game but my lowest frame rate was 61, max was 110 and average was 77.

Oh and umm yeah, my install size is still 37.2GB. o_O

EDIT: Oh yeah.

I'm not sure why people are saying the others were great ports. I had a 580 with the original and remember most people having to change it from dx11 to dx9 to not get horrible stuttering. Started the unpacking about 30 min ago and am a little over half way.

That's the kind of stuff that makes you look for a crack after you already bought the game, innit?

At least the other ones were optimized at the lower end. I played through Arkham Origins on the highest settings the game allowed me to choose with my DX10 card (HD4850, E8500 as processor) at 60fps locked with 80fps benchmarked, so I could have gone even higher.

Ok nevermind, the framerate is now dipping well below 30 at 1440P and everything at max while driving in the bat mobile.

With a 980Ti :/

Edit: Is there supposed to be a high textures option? I only see normal.

Tried using the geforce experience to turn on the gamework settings(which recommends everything maxed out). Still doesn't seem to work. I wonder if its because I have a GTX 570 in my PC for PhysX.

We shouldn't have to though. And it's not like these are minor issues either, some of these things are making the game legitimately unplayable.

This is the performance thread where we discuss shitty performance. So kindly leave if you have a problem with it.

smh... and I thought the Witcher 3 was bad, this is something else. I'm glad I got this for free cause I would be pissed if I wasted my time downloading/unpacking on top of paying for it.

Ok. All good now.

At the very first scene where you're looking out over the City, I'm getting a locked 31 FPS (I havent unlocked it yet) at 3840x2160. So that's nice. I'll have to unlock the framerate then.

Installed new AMD drivers.

I ran the benchmark at 1080p with everything on except gameworks (doesn't work for some reason)

Min 56
Max 131
Avg 86

Warner Bros. is that you?

I saw this thread a bit late, but hey I'm downloading the game right now even though I bought a physical release because the disc install was taking for fucking EVER.

I'm going to cross my fingers and give it my best go, at worst I'll have to turn down/off a few things or at best I'll be one of the lucky ones with no issues.
