Horizon: Zero Dawn Trailer (Guerrilla, post-apocalyptic pre-historic adventure)

The potential in this game is insane and it looks like it might deliver.
I'm hoping this will be one of those that stand out when you look back on a generation.

When you are playing at night in the game and you see those little lights that represent dinos it will look incredible.

Such amazing atmosphere in that artwork.

Was reading the latest OPM UK in bed this morning and seen a shoutout for GAF!

Guerilla Games on that T-rex sized leak...

Everybody loved Horizon Dawn's big E3 reveal, but it wasn't the first time we saw the game. Concept art and information about the dinosaur-hunting role-player actually snuck out online as early as last September. So now that Horizon has finally been unveiled, how does Guerrilla view that reveal-shattering breach of information?

"When something like that leaks, you're not happy", reminisces managing director Hermen Hulst. "And that's an understatement - you really don't want that to happen. But, looking back at it, it's probably the best possible focus test you could've done. We ploughed through all the comments on NeoGAF and whatever forums people were chatting about it, and it was really great for us to see that people loved the idea of robotic dinosaurs"

Totally agree with you guys; this is looking really special and totally ticks a bunch of childhood fantasy boxes. I'm especially excited that you can climb tree and swim, and generally it sounds like the traversal is ubiquitous, which I always look for in action games.

Oh wow, was that stuff confirmed?

Regarding this 'reprogram robodinos idea'... think about having a couple of these small ones as pets who also check for nearby enemies, to ride a robotic t-rex as if it was a horse, to use roboraptors as minion NPC companions to help in battles, etc.

OMG, it would be awesome!

Tower defence.
With wild robotic dinosaurs.

Hope this game is a timed exclusive.

Not happening if it's developed internally by one of their own studios: Guerilla Games (which is also the one who created the Killzone franchise and this new IP). Furthermore, both the IP and studio belongs to SCE... so I don't see that happening. You'll need a PS4 to play that game. :p

Don't take my word as gospel but I think I remember that climbing of dinosaurs wasn't really something one should expect.

Which means... it has yet to be confirmed. Because I think it was Hulst who teased the idea of being able to ride that Satellite-head dino robot.

Zoetis (?) said no riding. Doesn't necessarily mean there's no combat scenario that involves jumping/climbing certain mechs.
Oh cool. I'm probably remembering it differently then because I was initially pretty excited for the concept art with a hunter on top of a machine.

GG... always enjoy their games. always technical marvels. PS4 is going to hit it's stride wtih Horizon. The latest concept art..... can't wait to stroll through a firefly filled misty forest illuminated by the moonlight.

I've said it before but I'm so glad that this game exists. Guerilla Games has amazing tech and art people and I'm not that into FPS any more so that they make a game in one of my favorite genres influenced by some of my favorite games is quite a match.

Probably because people here assume it's common knowledge that Guerilla Games is owned by Sony and not a single one of their games has come out on anything but playstation 2/3/4

Not yet. Amazon.fr tells me they branch out any day now!

So what else is there? That's all I've seen mentioned.
Levels and quests for one.
