OMG This so much...I don't care about pacing, I don't care that the VR people looked silly on stage, everything gameplay wise looked full of potential. I honestly think Gaf doesn't really play as much games as the hardcore is assumed to. Certainly wasn't the best presented conference but OMG, some amazing looking games coming, and honestly, so much was already announced this year.

I definitely experienced hype at several moments throughout the presentation, unlike some of the Debbie downers here. F.A.N.G./Ono/SFV DLC, KOFXIV (which I thought looked better than before), Last Blade II on PSN, Hob, FFVIIR, instant FFVII port, Nino Kuni II, Ratchet & Clank, Ni-Oh, and several smaller indie games were highlights for me.

The whole VR segment on the other hand still left me in a state of doubt for whether I'll ever manage to jump into that stuff and appreciate it to be honest. Not to discount the stuff before ever trying it, but in a way it all still feels similar to the forced push towards motion gaming that never panned out for the most part.

A few things that did make me wonder were the following:
- why a new Ace Combat but no new Ridge Racer?
- why the Crash shirt but no actual announcement or tease? (Did he not learn from Vib Ribbon or is he planning to use the backlash this time to see it get made?)
- where was the teased Santa Monica game with the dancing feet?
- no Sony Bend game?
- no Last Guardian, Rime or Shadow of the Beast?
- no mention of the PS2 games coming to PS4 (unless I missed it)?
- no Legend of Dragoon reboot / sequel as I had hoped?

Overall, I'm very positive though!

I honestly don't get the massive expectations GAF has for this event. It's their fourth conference of the year, of course it's going to be filled with indies and other "left overs", with maybe one or two major announcements. The blockbuster games are obviously going to be saved for E3, not some side conference that only appeals to hardcore PlayStation fans.

That said, Ni no Kuni 2, Full Throttle remastered and FFVII gameplay alone made it worthwhile to me.

Thanks, not much I'm interested in that list to be honest. Seems like FF7 is the big ticket for me and Brutal looks interesting.

Uncharted looks great as usual, should finish the collection in time for 4.

I'm quite satisfied. Some cool surprises and lots of interesting looking games. But thats probably because I don't hang around gaming on GAF that much anymore. Don't buy into the hypetrains and not always expecting megatons. It feels nice and I can't get really disappointed for hyping myself up for something that was never going to be there.

There were actually some great reveals (FFVII:R gameplay, Ni no Kuni 2, Rez VR), but there were too many things that didn't need to be there. The COD league thing and the Battlefront kills montage were time wasters. The VR tech demo on stage was a disaster. Ending on Paragon was also a dumb decision. If they had just cut out the fat, closed the show with FFVII:R gameplay instead, it would've been a much better show.

I get that as well, but next year doesn't look that well even compared to this year, it looks sparse again. I am not liking 2016 for sony in my personal opinion, uncharted, and last guardian will be great. horizon if it makes it out cool, but what else. I feel it just wet my appetite and am looking for something else
