Choice #1:
Bulky console with little to no JP games support.

Choice #2:
Smaller console with lots of JP games support.

(Both are priced similarly)

The correct parallel would be saying the ps4 isn't outselling the xbox one by over 2 to 1 or 3 to 1 in the US due to ethnocentrism (because it is doing those numbers in the rotw). Which would be just as dumb as the Xbox doesn't sell in Japan because of ethnocentrism.

The real reason is that in the US the xbox has the full slate of features, is fully supported language wise, has game support that tailor to American tastes, is heavily advertised, has first party devs located in the US that Americans are familiar with, etc.

Pinning the failings of anything on ethnocentrism is the resort of the ignorant, lazy person who refuses to utilize their analytical mind to find the root cause of problems.

My post is all about money, nothing about love. MS understands and provides a heavy and constant infusion of cash in the US which is why they have success here. They aren't willing to do the same in rotw.
