Lol I mean, i just want to know if it's true. What's wrong with him? Curious. Too over the top ?

Well, he's a Gater. And he's continuing to repeat known lies about Zoe Quinn to this day. And he even believes there was a "social justice warrior attack on DOA3 and PlayAsia". He bought into that manufactured controversy because it's a boogeyman he loves to attack and he loves to engross himself in outrage. His general stances are incredibly hypocritical of him considering his statements regarding "victim hood", etc. I agree with him on this FineBros. instance but it's not like this is really an issue he could even be wrong about. For once the facts are on the side for his insipid rants. But this topic isn't about AlphaOmegaSin and his fuckery.

I like some of his videos, but he overreacts and often doesnt have all the facts. I remember back then when Nintendo blocked Smash Melee from Evo, he said something like how nintendo dare to block a game that has been one of the biggest at evo every year.

Twitter has been known to fuck with trends here and there, so not shocking...
If this IS happening (its still a used, searchable tag that isn't "trending") then I'm sure some sponsors are making phone calls to stop the spread. At least my guess.

I see. I didn't know too much about him. Thanks for the Info. I was wondering more about Twitter censoring things and what he said was true.

I was more worried about that. Can companies in the future stop a movement by simply removing them from popular trends on Twitter or YouTube or etc. scary :(

https://mobile.twitter.com/SidernB/status/694211174993268738Just curious if Twitter has done what this guy said. Wondering if it's true or not.

Goober Gate definitely trended on Twitter, tho, that's super false.

I mean, Twitter has modified Trends, they slightly suppressed Ferguson for a bit, and have done stuff like that for other shit, but that's just Goofen Garors talking about how oppressed they are.

On-topic: screw the Fine Bros, they're nothing but trash. I used to watch their stuff from time to time, given that they were inoffensive but then they used school shootings and monetized from it and I dropped them like third period French.

Nope. But the bros of Fine did try to attack BuzzFeed for their react videos before.

Jaltoid just released this video about how the FineBros wanted to hire very well known animators on Youtube with paying nil-to-very little and copy-pasted the emails. Also tip about "promotion isn't payment".

Phillip Defranco responded to this scandal.
He's appeared in their series before, just a heads up.
I think he has a pretty objective view on the whole issue.

For new page, videos from yesterday/today.

Oh damn.

Hello,
We’re here to apologize.
We realize we built a system that could easily be used for wrong. We are fixing that. The reality that trademarks like these could be used to theoretically give companies (including ours) the power to police and control online video is a valid concern, and though we can assert our intentions are pure, there’s no way to prove them.
We have decided to do the following:
1. Rescind all of our “React” trademarks and applications.*
2. Discontinue the React World program.
3. Release all past Content ID claims.**
The concerns people have about React World are understandable, and that people see a link between that and our past video takedowns, but those were mistakes from an earlier time. It makes perfect sense for people to distrust our motives here, but we are confident that our actions will speak louder than these words moving forward.
This has been a hard week. Our plan is to keep making great content with the help of our amazing staff. Thank you for your time and for hearing us out.
Sincerely,
Benny and Rafi Fine
*This includes “React,” “Kids React,” “Elders React,” “Lyric Breakdown,” etc. Please note: It takes a while for the databases to update, but the necessary paperwork has been filed.
**Content ID is YouTube’s copyright system that automatically flags content that looks like or sounds like copyrighted content. This mostly flags videos that are direct re-uploads of our videos (which is what the system is built for), but if you know of a video that has been claimed or removed incorrectly, please email us with “false claim” in the subject line.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I'm not certain if this is enough....who still wants them to lose subscribers? I don't think they've been hurt enough yet by this.

What? They've taken a complete 180. Their new statement is incredible. They are completely rescinding their trademark to React World and giving back all previous Content ID claims for previous videos they've taken down.

They should be considered angels now, right? This is forgiveness material.

Oh wow, all of the outrage and unsubscribing actually worked! Honestly expected them to keep on trucking with their awful plan.

Hm. World ain't black and white. There's more to this than meets the eye.

They're most likely going back to the drawing board to think of ways to monetize 'the format', and perhaps not make asses of themselves the second time they present it.

I'm fairly certain this isn't a total 180 on what they intended. They're undoubtedly in the position where they grew out a company and hired a bunch of people, with the hopes that this licensing thing would pan out.
