Fire Emblem Fates |OT| Nohr does what Hoshidon't

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
Tommy Pickles. :0

I wish they held a bit back on making most of Nohr so superficially evil---I mean one of the characters is named fucking Iago. Gee, I wonder what role he plays.

Still in the tutorial, though I can already tell it's got a bit more cleverness in terms of map design than Awakening.

Jealous of the keychains

Welp, there's more of them (just got to ebay them as they've been sold out for a long time now).

Since the char system is kinda stupid this time.

The Boon and Bane affects your Avatar’s starting stats, growth rates and maximum stats.

Related Stat Boon Bane
HP Robust Sickly
Strength Strong Weak
Magic Clever Dull
Skill Deft Clumsy
Speed Quick Slow

Strong or Clever + Unlucky is a recommended build depending if you want to go physical or magic.

Could someone give me explicit spoilers about how to not miss out on any kids?

Be male and marry one of the prepromote girls (or the dlc girl) who only support with Corrin. Be female and do whatever the fuck you want.
Get an A rank with Kaze asap in Birthright.
That's it. If you marry any of the girls you take one out of the dating pool and leave one child motherless.

Really? That's pretty fuckin bullshit. Awakening had it so that there were SEVERAL extra guys just so you could get all the kids.

Wait this is really confusing to me. So if I'm male and I marry someone who would have a kid otherwise, that kid isn't MY kid, they just disappear?

No, there's not just not enough wives for all the male characters. So one of you guys will stay single and can't get their kid (as the kids are based on the fathers instead of Awakening where they were based on their mothers).

Do they still do the thing from Awakening where each trait also had 1/2 boosts/reductions on 2 other stats besides the main one?

Also re: children that seems not well thought out.

Who's the shittiest kid in Birthright and Conquest?

Is this only in Birthright, Conquest, or both? Also, does this imply that female Corrin is canon Corrin?

Ok, so I'm a Fire Emblem casual. I've owned a few games, and enjoyed playing them, but haven't put more than maybe 10 hours into any one of them. I really want to make this my first Fire Emblem that I've beaten, and will stick to it. I'm going all out, buying one of the two and downloading the other 2 as dlc.

That being said, which game do you guys recommend I go with first, and why? I'm going to be playing with permadeath off for the first time in the series because, frankly, I don't have time for system wipes when a character dies. I am married with 2 kids and gaming time is at a premium, so I want to be able to make some progress in the times I do get to play.

The employee at GameStop asked me if I wanted a "map pack." I said no, thinking she was referring to the Revelations DLC. Did I just miss out on some important freebie?

Start with Hoshido since you don't have time for permadeath anyway. It's best for a Fire Emblem casual fan. Conquest might feel like more of a natural step up afterward.

No, she was trying to charge you an extra $18 for future extra DLC. Think a Season Pass. They tried the same thing with me.

Birthright. It should be easier and allows for extra battles to gain more experience to grind up.

Only the 6 SD save slots carry over. The first 3 are game-tied. Assuming you own the other 3 digital.

Sorry for the late reply (fell asleep shortly after my post) but hmm, what do you mean "6 SD" save slots? First 3 being game tied? I'm a touch confused; would thank you a million if you could clarify it for me.

How's magic in this game? I wonder whether or not more people are going magic over physical for Corrin.

I got my Special Edition without a hitch!

...I forgot about the key chains since I was (still am...) super tired and the employee didn't know, so I didn't get them. Guess I can mark that off as something I'll not have. :(

Am I the only one specofically not choosing Yuri Lowenthals voice because it's Yuri Lowenthal? His voice is good as always, but he's so common that he distracts me from almost every character these days.

Call them and see if they'll hold a set for you! If the person is still there they should remember you.

the 3 physical save files from your physical cart and then when u buy the extra routes u again an extra 3 (3 per route) so 3 saves will be on your physical cart while 6 will be in your sd cart

Ehhhh, the stone runs off magic but you don't really need to focus on it. If you're on Conquest or Revelation it might not be a bad build because Corrin's promotion there has offensive magic. Generally you want side classes that have swords because of Corrin's broken lord weapon so Dark Knight could work okay too.

I'll probably try that, but I can't make it back to the store until tomorrow afternoon at earliest. Not sure what their stance is on stuff like that.

Haven't booted the game up yet, but I'll probably avoid Yuri Lowenthal for the same reason. Unless I just don't like the other options, he's the last choice.

So I bought a download code of conquest since I bought Birthright physical I'm looking at the in-game menus and there's no option to redeem the code and the e-shop says that's where I have to redeem it. Do I just have to play up to the split before I can redeem the code or do I need to at least play a bit into the game for the redeem dlc code option to open?
