Am a fan of the Honda dealer theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ewPzrHMdQs

Also GT4 has a remix of that song as Menu music :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hvH7VqSjuE

Ooooo Mazda dealer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GoQ2G5ZybA

For comparison's sake, this is the Japanese version of GT1's Honda dealership:

At least this style remained for the menus in future games. Back when GT1 came out, this music provided the game with a completely different atmosphere from other contemporary racers. Several of the original dealership themes snuck their way into future games, like you showed haha.

I do love the menu music and everything but at the same time I have always enjoyed the licensed soundtrack as well, I love Feeder, especially their earlier stuff and the Chemical Brothers mix of Everything Must Go is amazing.

Those are Vision GT cars, right? Do they actually work?

Thankfully we have custom soundtracks these days and we can have whatever music we please!

They are Vision GT cars yeah, I imagine most are rolling shells made by the manufacturers like most concepts, some may have a very basic drivetrain but I doubt it. None have what they would have if they went into production though.

I wish we had a betting thread.
Guess number of cars and tracks, race-to-road-car ratio. Will all tracks have ToD options. Bodykits, hydroplaning, FOV-slider/Seat-position, Rally tracks... and so on.

So what new real life tracks would you guys like to see?

We know they've been working on Pikes Peak and Interlagos, but it's about time we get Imola and a proper Monaco. PD pls.

Monaco sucks, yes its a historial track but for racing it sucks. Catalunya, or Road America or US GP track would be great.

GT will never have full sim damage I think, it has to be accessible as well for the numbers it sells. Have to get a happy medium.

Was a few years back now but got to drive the 370Z and GTR GT Academy cars on the Stowe circuit, was amazing.

This may be me driving? Not sure haha

These people really like Feeder. Whoever they are.

The original japanese GT soundtracks are the best. I really give zero fucks about the licensed music, aside from My Favorite Game.

edit: seriously that list they got up there is mostly awful jesus, and how is MOTC not number one.

I liked the GT1 menu soundtracks. MOTC will forever remain a classic too.

The soundtrack from Forza 6 = best soundtrack to any racing game ever IMO. Probably not to everyone's taste but I really, really like it.

-They tested an oval track with GT3 cars.
-They are impressed with the graphics.
-They said the sound is not much different from GT6.
-The physics are tuned similar in all cars for the oval test but they seem not to impressed (no details given).
-They commented about a flag system during races.
-The Steering wheels used were Thrustmaster T300.

They can't disclose GTS details or do public reviews and are waiting for the real competition tomorrow to make a valid judgement. Today they only tested a limited GTS beta with apparently two tracks.

I hated the music in forza 5 and how they dropped licensed musuc, but music in 6 is great. Some of it sounds like an Avengers film.

Their general feeling is that they were not impressed, pretty disappointed actually.. particularly with the physics and the sounds.

To be fair, testing GT3 cars in an oval is pretty stupid.
I mean you just go at the top speed all the time, so the engine sound will be a monotonous high pitch all the time...The same goes for physics...

guess we will see tomorrow.

So what are the chances that this livestream competition will be in an oval track? And that's the first footage we see of the game?

I mean not even PD could be that stupid...

Ahaha why did I get excited for this?

But it doesn't seem like there's a cockpit. I'm not seeing a wheel or any outline of the interior. And GT Academy drivers tend to use the bumper cam to race.

If they are smart they will now allow for the option of the interior view but without the wheel and hands.
