Nintendo had to announce the NX when it did otherwise because shareholders were going to ask if Nintendo was going to stop making consoles. I'm sure they would've liked to sit on it for awhile but they had no choice.

I think he's just calling out 10k's tendency to pass along things he reads on Twitter without clarifying if it's his own speculation, joke, rumor, or someone else's speculation, joke, or rumor.

And unconscious anxiety increasing when it was announced it would've not been at E3, and the whole wait for the event's announcement, even if there were good "happy gaps" (EG's rumour, BOTW at E3, possibly Hot Chips in a few days...? - not so confident though ), and the NX, again, way too much around the center of my thoughts, between checking threads, news, or just thinking about it while doing completely unrelated things. It's unhealthy, and the decision I've decided to take was something I was toying with for a while, but I believe now it's the right time to do it.This is probably going to pass as an excessively dramatic post, but I feel I really have to shake off some feelings about this whole thing.
While I didn't show it on the forum, my reaction to John Harker's former post (right when he posted it, before his own clarification) wasn't exactly calm: nervousness and anxiety. It disappeared after a few seconds, but it's a representation of how much I'm waiting for this thing to actually be unveiled, for it to be showed to the general public, to us. While I'm usually really enthusiastic about discussing on it, ready to rationalise when strange hyperboles ensued (hi MuchoMalo!) or about rumours' sources and whatever (hi 10k
...I'll stop checking GAF/Twitter/any place with recent gaming stuff for at least a few days, but my original plan is to try to "detox" myself until the reveal date is announced as much as possible. I'll do other stuff in the meanwhile (like playing, after all!), I'll probably check out gaming-related stuff anyway due to something I'm working on, but surely no updates on what's going on with NX. The only concession I'll make is to check out PMs pages only here on GAF and Twitter once every few days in order to see if people are contacting me whatever reason they have to. I'll read what Hot Chips brings anyway as an exception, but after that (if I endure this period of "detoxificaton") I'll go back to the plan just mentioned. Hopefully, I'll feel better when I'm back. Also, I hope we don't really have to wait until November like Nintex speculated (seriously, no Nintendo, no).
