From Emily. She said Iwata didn't lie when saying NX might be multiple devices in future then said don't expect a super powerful x86 console in her latest tweet. That reads like *A* console (albeit not super powerful) could be on the cards in future in addition to the hybrid handheld.
If NX is a true hybrid there would be no need for a home console at least within the NX life cycle. The point is none of these tweeters seem to know anything for fact and word tweets such that whatever gets announced they'll be right. I think I'll start calling these hybrid tweets.
Nintendo please announce the direct reveal date and end the madness!

I don't think they even threatened him with legal action. He seemingly saw it as an opportunity to get into Nintendo's good graces and sold the source out. For zero gain.
Also the source reads GAF so I know he gets mad whenever people start talking up SMD's bullshit.

My prediction is that they will start talk about nx after november. They got a huge seller in Pokemon, smb run and also Nes mini classic. If nx is anything remotely close to 3ds and will have pokemon on it, wont that hurt the sales now?
I think they need to be 100% focused to market nx right. So my guess is that they wont disturb the pr-thingie they got going on now.
But of course, showing a picture of the damn thing would be nice! (which i think they will do before 2017)
And btw about the share holders meeting and they being upset without news about nx....Are you crazy!? The stock has gone up the roof since the last meeting. Nintendo has made some people very rich.

I still believe we'll know about it before Q1 2017, but I don't know. It really depends on how much later the general public will catch on rather than us who actually follow the news. Most people who played Pokemon GO didn't know what it was until it released.

I doubt it. Even if the full reveal is next week, there will still likely be launch price, launch date, game announcements and other things that will have rumors.
Although, I guess they won't be "NX rumors" anymore, but rather "____ rumors" so you'd be technically correct.
As irritating as it's been to be a Nintendo fan for the past year and change, I'm just glad this wait will likely end some time in the next week. I'd rather not, but I guess can wait that long after more than a year of this. I just want to see what it looks like and finally learn the full concept and specs already.
Well, yes. But I think he means that we will know what the NX is, we will have some concrete information on the system for the first time ever! That's really exciting to think about. I look forward to look back on these threads and see just how wrong (or right) we were!

Idc about launch price. I believe Emily when she says it's releasing in March. And Nate has been adamant about it also.
All I care about is to see the system and the games. Seeing the system will kill 95% of the rumors alone speculating on "what is the NX?!?"

I really don't see a scenario where the NX would seriously impact Sun/Moon in any way. Even then, I don't think that would keep current 3DS owners from buying the game now. For those new to 3DS, a 2DS can be purchased for $80 MSRP in the U.S., that's not a very high barrier to entry...

This thread seems to be the first NX thread which was kind of silently endorsed by mods (by renaming). I feel they were like "whatever, let's leave thing one opened and keep all NX crazies in one place."

The $199 price point would be a sweet spot for the mass market--but they would have to skimp out on the hardware to make it happen. Assuming of course that it's a hybrid device with a 6 inch screen. Also I HIGHLY doubt we will get a full reveal at the investors meeting. I'm thinking something along the lines of final name and basic concept. No details on specs or pricing. NeoGAF will implode if that happens lol.

She must be pretty confident, and I hope she's right. But if she's not, she was vague enough before that she could have been right even short of a full review, but now she's gone all in. I hope she proves correct!
I think they should hit the $249 sweet spot at the beginning, assuming it's an attractive product.
leave some space for a $199 price reduction later on and then never look back,
Unless it's a PR release and they just drop it whenever.
