Wasn't there some beef with the higher ups at Marvel treating the X-Men property like shit solely because they don't have the film rights to it? I remember people trying to argue this wasn't the case. It's really hard to see Marvel NOT actively wanting to shit on the X-Men when they pull shit like this. There's no reason to specifically go out of their way to take out fan favorites like Storm, Magneto, Wolverine, Sentinel. These were characters that MADE the series.

I dunno though, the MCU has some great characters for a fighting game and that's just in Agents of Shield. Quake, May, Ghost Rider(s), Dethlok, Mr Hyde etc. I'm quite open to the idea of no X-Men if they have full access to the MCU including the Netflix series.

why use a capcom character? Marvel has tons of Doctor Doom clones they can use.

Considering it's extremely MCU themed, I'm really happy about this. Sad this means that comic characters I love probably won't show like Squirrel Girl, Mighty Thor, Spider-Gwen, Anarcho Spider-Man, or Ms. Marvel, but I can live with that if MvC 4 is more accessible and more relatable to the general audience.

The MCU focus is disappointing, in that it could restrict the roster.

Excited to see new additions to the Capcom side though.

And with these restrictions, unless Sony pays through the nose for another sequel, you'll likely see this on XB1 day one to help hedge their bets, fiscally-speaking.

Not having the mutants is kinda risky, especially when trying to sell this game to a lay fan. Still looking forward to it.

If x-men characters are banned than maybe Magneto could be replaced by Vision, Dr. Doom is probably going to be replaced by Ultron and Wolverine's movesets could possibly go to Black Panther.
