Just tried out Loading Human for the first time.
I think it looks good and the plot sounds interesting from the back of the box, but the controls with move controllers are a bit all over the place.
It's also mother first VR experience I've had that's made me feel nauseous. I had to stop after 10 minutes and take off the headset. Never had an issue with Batman, Battlefront, Eve Valkyrie, Call of Duty Jackal Assault or Until Dawn.

Yeah, that game really needs you to get used to the unusual control method. By the end of the game you get used to it. But it's not ideal. I did enjoy my time with the game, mostly for the things it makes you do that I haven't seen replicated in any other vr games yet.

I bought VR on release, sold it.

Then bought it again yesterday :/

Already regreting that.

I think you have a problem.

I just wish they'd use some of the other buttons for turn around and crouch rather than having you rather awkwardly positioning the move controllers. Instead all 4 shape buttons serve the same function.

Lol google could have saved you from that mistake

Yes it's a right faff getting it all setup, but God is it worth it

So true! I've rewired over the weekend to somehow get my PS4, the camera and G29 PC station within reach of each other so I can drive with wheel. Good thing about using the PSVR is I don't need to move the TV.
Wish the PS4 camera had a standard SLR camera screw mount and a cable twice as long. It's currently using a Heath Robinson hack on tripod to allow re positioning around the room depending it I'm on the G29 or on the sofa.

Just purchased Dirt Rally tonight (downloading now), ready for the DLC :)

Yeah, this thing seems sorta dead right now, huh? Mine's been sitting in my closet since coming back from Christmas :/

yup me too, it's going to be collecting dust with all the new games releasing in the next 3 months and the Switch as well. I might as well sell it, I wonder if these things are still in demand, I might have to take a loss.

I just set mine up over the weekend after receiving it for Christmas. I didn't think it would affect me, but I have to work on my VR legs. Got a little queasy ---

But it's pretty amazing. I'm very impressed so far.

Depends on what you are into. Still use mine frequently, Dirt Rally VR and Resident Evil 7 just around the corner it is going to get even more use.

In terms of announcements from Sony though I wouldn't expect anything from them until GDC (end of Feb) at the soonest. That has been the conference where PSVR has had a heavy presence for the last few years so I'd expect something official then.

You know, with that YouTube 3D/360 video update going up early for some people and the fact that Firmware 4.50 is coming soon, I wonder if there will be any PSVR-focused stuff in the update.

VR is still sooooo good. Had a boys night on Friday and grabbed I expect you to die, and How we Soar. Both are awesome.

I'be been playing a lot of Pinball and Battlezone as well.

Tomb Raider has a free three hour trial on PSN store. I'm assuming we'll be able to try te VR element so I've downloaded it.

It's late now so looking forward to trying it tomorrow.

I tell you, my two favorite things to read on GAF are about the two things I love the most in gaming right now: Street Fighter V and PSVR.

they both suck, apparently. GAF, of course, is so wrong.

Anyway, for those of you in the VR doldrums, I recommend going back to pickup on some gems that you might've missed. I just picked up Windlands, and it's pretty fun!

Everyone has Batman: The Arkham Experience, but does everyone have "I Expect You To Die". It's secretly one of the top 3 experiences on PSVR. sssshhhh.

Finally, showing up on a remarkable number of good VR lists and podcasts, Crystal Rift was the surprise of the hardware. It's really inexplicable. It's so simple and retro but works astoundingly well in VR. When I just want to play an actual game for a bit, I generally go to Crystal Rift for my fix.

Also, believe it or not, The Assembly has been getting pretty solid recommendation.

PSVR has a quite a library. Certainly more than enough to tide the average person over until 1/24/17.

Update for anyone who cares:I was able to beat ReVii demo in vr mode it only took having the lights on, regular sound (no headphones) wife next to me and the Pepsi getting knocked over frome jumping

I'd say I'm ready

I got to the point where I could play RIGS for hours at a time without any issues and I have all of the comfort settings turned off.

Honestly to get good you just have to kinda master the 3 different modes. Know when to heal, when to boost, and when to be in the damage mode. It's all about agility and speeding around the map. Zip behind cover when you've taken some damage and go into healing mode. Pick up those yellow orbs to increase your overdrive mode. Almost never be shooting at someone if you're not in damage mode, and use that melee! Melee is awesome.

That is some wonderful advice, thank you so much! I haven't done the trials yet. I got some Dramamine from work and I intend on taking that before I put the headset on again hahaha. I just couldn't believe I was getting killed in like one shot every time. I still have Batman and Until Dawn unopened as I haven't had time to try them out but I want to get better at RIGS.

I hardly ever play my PSVR. =(

Saying that I still love my purchase. There is just so much to play on the PS4 I'm ok with coming back to my PSVR just once every 2 weeks for 3-4 hours. It still blows me away and there's plenty to play when I only play it once in a while. No regrets. Look forward to what's to come.

=)

I am gonna try again

guys I have a 2 questions

1. I don't wear glasses. I am struggling to find the best way to put the headset on. if I am looking for a more snuggle fit, to block any external light, I notice that the lens get foggy, maybe from my breathing or fore head. I don't know if I should put the head strap lower toward my neck, have no idea. any suggestions?

2. why on earth my lens get smudges after I play when I am not wearing glasses? my eyelashes ? breathing? anyway to prevent this from happening?

the fogging happens when you first turn it on, I like to turn it on and let it sit for a few minutes before putting it on. It should go away after a bit regardless.

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch

Be prepare to take it out for RE7 very soon then

(And then back to closet until probably Startrek, Farpoint and/or Ace Combat 7)

I don't know about this. You have to complete a small part of the main game's story to be able to get into the VR portion with the retail game.

Fuck it, decided to buy Werewolves Within while I was cashing in on the spend-$100-get-$25-off VISA Checkout promo on Best Buy's site. Hope it's fun!

I maintain a list here which I update every few days.
https://arthands-vr.com/upcoming-psvr-titles/

It seems however though that there are many PSVR titles that are becoming vaporware, that I am planning to take off the list (eg Synthesis Universe VR)

Having a blast (no pun intended) with Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. So far for me this is the ultimate game for sharing PSVR with someone else.

This is pretty much my stance on this right now. Cheers.

I had more games last night, honestly it's keeping me up way too late now. I eventually went to bed last night after my Pro locked up which is a known issue and being patched hopefully soon (Ubi put a date of 26th out there)

so uh.. damn.. wheels are expensive. What's the one to get? I'm obviously not a hardcore racing guy, but if i'm gonna have to spend like a couple hundred on that thing..

:O Driveclub VR is so good!

Breaks my heart knowing Evolution Studios is no more and it will never get a proper Pro Patch.

I can race for hours on end without getting bored and the sense of immersion is mindblowing. I can only hope GT Sport is half as good.

Game would kill me so I will let my mum play through it in VR.

And hello again sanji :D

£171.99 @ Amazon from a 3rd Party, funnily enough got the camel alert this morning.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00YUOVBZK/

Yep this one...I am eyeing it too. Driveclub VR is the first racing game in over 10 years to get me to play it more than a hour, but...hmmm, sadly not cheap, fortunately too awesome to pass it up now with VR...ahhh

I've had the wheel a while now although still not tried with the VR headset and use with the WheelStand Pro with additional shifter mount too.

Oh my god, finally tried Werewolves VR last night.
The game is simply amazing. So much fun, the concept is brillantly executed, the game is a joy to play no matter the role, and the VR execution is really good too. The game feels alive and you really have that sense of being around the table with people.
Can't wait to play more tonight.

Game is just a huge time sink, only problem I have is keeping the noise down late at night when no one wants to listen, I end up needing to stand to be heard rather than shout down the microphone at 1am. It's also probably the best use of 3D audio so far being able to pinpoint exactly who is talking without even needing to see their lips moving is great.

Can you not play with the lights off? Mine is set up in my basement so I can make it pitch black night or day by flicking off the lights. It helps tracking as well in a darker room.

As for fogging, this happens when your body is warmer than the machine. So usually it's only when you first put it on. Try turning on the heat in your room a little bit before you start playing. Also, if you hold the button underneath and pull the goggles away from your face just a tiny bit it lets air in which also reduces the chance of fogging.

No idea of plans for UK/US

Either the Logitech G29 or Thrustmaster T150. You can't go wrong with either really.

The T150 has the better belt drive system which feels more realistic and less noisy, whereas the G29 has the gears which can feel a bit rough and be quite loud. Both not as smooth as the more expensive T300rs. The G29 has far better peddles, not just in build quality but also the fact you get a clutch the overall build quality is better than those with the T300rs. As the peddles are just as important as the wheel the G29 is the better deal overall. On Amazon UK at the moment.

G29 = £171.99

T150 Ferrari = £129.99 | T150 Ferrari + T3PA Pedals = £204.98
